I'm not a member or signed up to OGT. Can someone let them know, if they don't know already.  Thanks

Thank you Zmax. I don't have "7zip" to extract them. All the other D/L's I have done, have been a zip file w/ folder inside.

I use WinZip 9.   It opens RAR files and other compressed files.  My opinion on WinRAR is that it's a bit bloated and adds too many right-click Context Menu items compared to WinZip (yes, I can edit them out in the Registry).

Doesn't make it a bad program but WinZip is (IMO) faster to learn for most first time users of File-Compression Utilities.

Not a thing. I elaborate further in tblazer's reply. In today's world you definitely need two extractors imo.

I have used both Windows and WinRAR or 7Zip extractors on one pc in the past. I do like both WinRAR and 7Zip, but I I'm kind of with you on leaving things well enough alone (if that's the case here?), and just having the default exctractor there if ever needed.

Actually nowadays, I don't like to extract anything on my main gaming pc, but unfortunately you'll find out that you will need a winrar extractor somewhere along the way sooner or later, even just to put files onto a pc you don't want to extract anything on to begin with.

So to kill two birds with one stone I installed the free version of WinRAR on my laptop. If you get no surprises after extracting -like having your a/v auto-delete a file because it contains an .exe file (clearly not the case here with these two courses, but it has happened in other p2p software I have purchased in the past)- then you simply copy and paste the two extracted courses onto a flash drive, and then put them into JNPG on your main pc.
Then, if so inclined, you can zip them up with your default Windows compressor if you want to save them somewhere else without extracting with WinRAR.

Just food for thought...hth...

I dont have that problem with WinRaR... I mean, maybe one extra click, but geez... world ain't coming to an end..

I am of the opinion the course designer provides a means to download his/her course.  It is IMHO the players responsibility to have a program to unpack it.  I have 7zip (free by the way)  which handles all the unpacking of zip files I'm aware of.  As does winzip.

We players need to remember that the designers spend untold hours designing, planting and etc. for the courses.  And do it for free, I will add.   The least I can do, as a player, is spend the time to get a program to unpack the course files.  Just Saying!

3 clicks at the most for me using winrar..1 on opening the course at the bottom left of the screen and 2 when winrar opens.. takes about 15 secs.
