Fine, then you are off my download list as the tournament players I play with.  Goodbye bad dog.

We know.  You can use 7zip to extract them.

Starting using 7zip about a month ago and it works fine.I have yet to figure out how to make it remember where I usually want it unzipped to .How do you set the default directory to unzip to?

LOL!  Wont sleep at night!  I am sure you do not play very many tournaments anyway because you are always working on a course.  His loss for sure.

DoGz,  I love every course you have designed.  And that is many.  Thank you for the great job you have done.

I in fact thank all the course designers as your work is greatly appreciated by this player.

It seems to me that the quality of PG is better than some of its players.

Every course designer should be applauded for the work they do, for free.

and doggie happens to be topnotch.

just had to say this.

True-I did the same. But I can be lazy and try to reduce mouse clicks when I can. :) Just like your browser can be set to download to a particular directory every time I was hoping to extract to the same directory every time.

I use Ashampoo ZIP Pro 2 which has a drop down menu of the last four or five unzip destination to choose from. Seems to work well.

Self extracting rar files, or the equivalent would do the trick. Designers could pr-enter the path to the courses folder beforehand. Unless the person changed the default install path, things would work fine. People could still enter there own path if they had to, then no one would need any kind of zip program.

No point giving folks who have issues with DoGgz way of encryption an alternative piece of software to use, as it will involve extra clicks to download and install it, lol.

I also wonder if these people never change clubs from what the caddie gives them in the game, due to the extra clicks it would involve.?

Personally my issue is with 7Zip not DoGgz's method of encryption. My complaint about extra clicks was made very tongue in cheek.First world problems.

tanman, do you recall this thread?

http://www.perfectpa...ourses/?p=82617

I worked with axe360 and with a registry tweak, you simply right-click the file and then click the menu item to unpack it to the \Courses folder.  To recap, that's two clicks and you're done.  I'm not sure if he is still using it, but I suspect he is - it's so easy, it doesn't make sense not to use it!

I've posted the instructions for 7-Zip (in a different thread):

Understood.

My post was more for folks like our friend who was stopping downloading DoGgz courses because he used an encryption format (RAR) the poster didn't agree with and was more or less demanding DoGgz provide the course file in ZIP format or no dice.

Follow up:  I have Dogz courses, they are fantastic.  I have Winzip too.  Works fine with RAR files.  I was being sarcastic.  Sorry all.

All of DoGgz's courses, as well as those of all our other generous designers, are available at the PGLS Courses Database in zip format. We lovingly convert every one for greatest access.
