ok to get into the forums or the social site, or the user made courses

i had to go through a VPN using a texas server to do it.

would not work through my straight connection. i also think there is an ip routing problem and it is affecting a bunch of folks

shut the VPN off went back no PP sites, or user made courses.

VPN back on using a texas server and all back up, i do live in ohio

and don't mind running a VPN full time but there are others with this same issue

Dave, why a VPN setup for PP, which is a public site?? Just curious, not a net expert by any means.

Dave, why a VPN setup for PP, which is a public site?? Just curious, not a net expert by any means.

something is going on with the routing somewhere, i use a VPN for other stuff i do on the net and i have been running into this every weekend here lately. so i routed my connection through texas since i was chatting with texas aces and his was working fine in the chat so what the hell i got out clicked the VPN found a texas server and wala everything was like it should be.

i am not the only one affected by this there are others in the chat same problem.

anyone want a quick fix trust zone has 3 days free.

i have been on there for years so it is a good service

FPS unaffected

Dave, thanks for the reply. I was just curious. As I implied in my OP, I have no solution for you.

 solution

i found mine i just set everything up to run the VPN on

start up.

to be honest a VPN is the smartest way to run

on the net anyway. have noticed new VPN sites starting up with 100+ a year

to much the trust zone is only 40

yea im still having to run through a VPN to get the designer courses to show up

and even to use this forum. here is what i don't understand people are still having problems and

not even really trying to get it fixed, they are content with the stock courses i guess.

and before anyone comes in this thread and tells me it is on my end i got a FU for ya

everything else i do on a daily basis on the internet is working fine with or without the VPN

so it is not on me. this outage has been going on and off for me for months now, with no other problems

at all on my end it has got to be something in their routing

OK, I was told that there is nothing I could do about Perfect Parallel, Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf, or Steam for having this problem. And the problem is: Booting up Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. When I boot up the game, it does not load all the courses, or nor does it allow me to play the tournaments that are posted!!!  When hosting a game, I have to invite players. If some one else hosts, they have to invite me.  I guess I'll be told that it's my internet provider next. Ok, I just got off the phone with internet provider, and they told me it was the software that is being used by the three companies I mentioned above. I have had no problems the last month with this game or with my internet provider. This problem started this pass Saturday 4/29/2017. I have uninstalled Steam and reinstalled Steam. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game. This still did not fix the problem. So I made an account to post this problem. I will be very very pleased if this problem can be addressed. Cause you would not be happy working with a computer that didn't work right!!!

Thanks

i bet if you try a VPN here is the one i use and you get 3 days free https://trust.zone/

i bet all the courses would come in for you just try different servers close to you till you hit one that brings them in

if you are in the us use the texas server it works for me.

however i am glad to see someone else post about this.

Didn't this coincide with the PG zservers being down. When they are down you cannot play user created courses and you cannot see public tournaments.

find anything by that name.

here is what i get when i go to the forums or the social site without

the VPN running. the view detailed info was pretty much the same as this window

says. this only happens on these 2 sites out of around 20 links i tried and use regularly

Only once in the recent outages have I not been able to connect to the forums (and I haven't tried to play recently, so can't comment on the game not connecting).  I visit the forum daily, though, as only once have I not been able to connect recently.

I'm in western Canada (GMT-7:00, which is) and haven't tried using a VPN as, fortunately, I've only ever had 3 or 4 issues connecting to the forum over the 4+ years since I joined this forum.

wow, odd issues, i am in europe , dont use ever a vpn, and have not had any problems with connecting to pg.

only remember once not being able to connect, because pg server was down.

it is clearly some internetrouting problem, but dont think pg is be the culprit.

its customary if you phone your isp, they always will tell you its not them, as almost every company seems to do..lol.

all in all, i wished pg could be truly played offline, with all courses.
