Might try this out. My PC should be able to run this game without issue, but I also have meter glitches on a regular basis. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with high/low end PC's.

GB I play the PGLS with 3C and never had anything but a smooth as butter meter but the problem very well might be above and let me explain. I play the game with fiber Internet direct hookup at the highest speeds in the industry and my provider is North State. Now if I trI'd to play the game at my beach house wI think the standard Time Warner/Spectrum the meter would be all over the place. Internet speed is everything and I would suggest you go online and check your Internet speed and just google Internet speed test and you will find one. I hope that helps.

Thank you for your kind post.  I check my connection speeds regularly and as stated above have 330 down and 20 up.  This connection has a very low ping and jitter as well.  Thank you again for trying to help.

CPU cores is good for those who do not know how to optimize their comps.  But for those in the know it will do nothing that they cannot do themselves.  If one is already running minimal processes needed for OS stability and security, has ALL auto updaters other than Windows Update turned off and is already getting high frame rates this program does nothing for that individual.

Umm - Maybe you should consider trying CPU Cores anyhow?
After all, you are the one who supposedly has a high spec PC that still has a stuttering meter, as not reported by others with high spec PC's.

Perhaps you don't know how to optimize your computer as well as you think?
Might be worth trying CPU cores to see if it helps.

I gave it a try using the Great River White course that gives me low frame rates.  I recorded my FPS on tee shots and approach shots for all 18 holes and the FPS was the same with and without CPU Cores.

well ended up being a waste after all. i already had a better program

that came with the computer the Asus Rog Gaming Center does the same thing.

oh well. now with the gaming center running it does seem to work the meter a little smoother solo.

a lot of my meter stutter comes during MP, and i believe it is just a connection issue with the host. i have been watching these Ms numbers when joining a round and im seeing a lot of people's numbers in yellow and this is where im seeing it the most. when i set a game my numbers are always green.

be nice to see this connection info prior to joining

a round, as to avoid slow connection's

According to this forum, CPUCores is basically snake oil.

Went to Digital Storm and ordered me up a nice gaming machine :)

Intel i3 chip at 3.9G

16 gig DDR4 RAM

GeForce 970 GTX 4gig vid card

240G SSD

1TB HD

Windows 10

It's HERE!!  JNPG runs great with all the bells and whistles at max or close to it...  I still turn 3D render off for the swing, tho.

Depends who you ask and what you're doing with it.

Pop over to AvSim and talk to Prepar3d users about Affinity Mask settings (which is what CPU cores is doing) and you'll find major differences in performance. The reason it's complex is that literally every single users situation is different in terms of what hardware combo they have and the application in question and whether or not it would benefit depending upon how it's coded and how it stresses the different components.

Nothing about it is snake oil - it's simply a case of what context it's being deployed in, and there, it's benefits will vary for sure.

Sounds good

I just worry too many forum users would select blue balls

Not sure why - I just feel like many here would gravitate towards those...

What's this 'we'?

:D :D

I sure don't want coloured balls. Don't use them IRL and have no intention doing so in JNPG.

Only game I need coloured balls in is Virtual Pool.

Other than overclocking (manually) I would suggest making sure your Power Options are set to Maximum.

well i guess this is out there in left field again, oh well

crusher i was on the balanced plan the computer came set on

went up to the hypo and i got so much more FPS that i now have all the sliders out

which before i would not even run shadows trees are always maxed.

and after playing a couple of courses that seem to cause me meter lag i saw none.

does this sound right, just seems like to much of a gain to me.

anyway thanks for the tip
