71:  That really makes no sense.  What were they thinking?

It's a mistake on the par 4 6th hole which normally plays as a par 5 for members. It will be fixed in an update after The Open

I posted this as an edit to my previous reply, but ill repost it here to make sure it is not missed.

What is the button to push to make the linked photo appear?  I set up an Imgur account and posted some images.  I can copy the link, but I cannot figure how to post them so that they show up. I tried Image, Link, My media and none of them seem to accomplish what I want.

I know this was pointed out before, but my search for it did not turn up anything useful.  This should have a sticky post somewhere.

go to your imgur and go to get share links from the drop down, look for the BB link because that lets you paste the link straight into any forum thread, the other types will not.

Unless your HD is only 5GB in size, is it really an issue?

Sorry Daz, but it is an issue when the presence of the folder on my HD masks the fact that the course is not present in my game, either under 'Royal' or 'Birk'.  I don't have a lot of free pennies and certainly can't afford to spend them on spectres that don't materialise.

I have just realised that I did not authorise my purchase yesterday, so did not 'receive' the course.  I have done so today and it it is now in my game as 'Royal Birkdale' but among the 'B' courses (How good is the alphabetical sorting engine used).  Using the 'In Game' Pro Shop the purchase was simple whereas using Sream or that other Social whatsmacallit was a total nightmare ;)

Thanks Art & Dog.  it's easy once you know.  LOL

The first two are from the fairway of Royal and Southport respectively.  The second two are the green approach comparison.

Your right Dog, it is the par 70 version.  I was looking back at an older scorecard of one of my rounds, but it must have been from an earlier version.  Sorry about that.  I still think that your version is very good (as is all of your designs and recreations) and is defiantly a perfect option for anyone who chooses not to purchase the PP version.

Even so, it would be nice to have two versions to play. The par 70 OPEN version and the par 71 Members version.

I have felt that my version feels unfinished, i wanted to replace the grasses, seek out some better objects and possibly add some stands, but i just did not have the time this week..not to worry.

The advantage PP has is working from a photo walkthrough of the course. I'm guessing DoGgz is off of overhead, photos, Google Earth, etc...

Each is well done in its own right. I feel PPs version is a bit more accurate and immersive because of the landscaping work.

Just played a couple of holes. Gorgeous design. I found DoGgz's design already very good (Southport Links) but having an official PG release only adds to the fun. For me as a links course nut I can't be happier. Many thanks PG-team! And now, I'm going back to the live action on the tube. Go Poulter!! (and Luiten too ofcourse  )

Any chance the pins in use for the Open Championship can also be added into the design as and when it gets updated?

That would make it absolutley the go-to course to use, but presently with only three locations per hole available, Kenny's user-created design is doing a better job for those who like to play along with pins in place.

Would also be nice if when you update the course next to rename the folder something like royalbirk. That way the course will show in the carousel under  the R's for Royal Birkdale. I believe that's where most people were looking for it to be.

After a few rounds on this one, I think it might possibly be the best course we have for the entire game.

Something about the planting, the details, the FPS - It all comes together as a remarkably detailed and complete package.

Very very nicely done.

Dogz  - Southport Links (Royal Birkdale) is a par 70 version of the course.  I will purchase JNPG version soon.  :)

PS  Dogz your version plays well and looks fine.  I thank you for your work.

I will support the JNPG game as I did Mark Hulka and David Cass @ LSPN Links 2003 Tournament site.
