I've been a TSwinger ever since playing Front Page Sports: Golf back in the day. I like some of the ideas about the mouse tempo and paths for possibly creating different golf shots / ball flights. The part about clicking in the middle of a mouse movement though to "determine" your extra power I'm not too excited about. Something I would rather see to determine your power is with the golfer animation. For example, on the backswing if the player stops the golfer animation with the club in the parallel position to the ground, then that would be your 100% power. For extra power, allow the golfer animation to actually have the club go past parallel (John Daly) but maybe at a cost of accuracy depending on how past parallel the club goes. The opposite would be true if you wanted to hit less than a 100% power golf shot. If the player stops the golfer animation in a 3/4 position on the backswing, then that shot power would only be 75%-80%. As an added bonus, give the player had the option to "set" the 100% power position of the golfer animation. That way different players could tailor the golfer animation to what they prefer to use. One player could use the golfer animation with the club at parallel for 100% power while a different player sets up their golfer animation with a 3/4 position as their 100% power.

We're throwing around lots of ideas but nothing decided and even when it is, we'll still be open to feedback.
Not keen on any click in the middle of a mouse movement either, I'm more interested in the tempo - lots we can do in this area.

I agree. I think tempo should be most important for a mouse swing. If bad tempo is punished, edging will be a lot less relevant depending on tempo penalty.

Tempo is key. Even the timing of the transition from backswing to downswing is important.
I would like to see both tempo and rhythm incorporated in a mouse swing for Perfect Golf.
Here is a link to a good article on this: http://golftips.golf...hythm-2031.html
