Are you creating a new library under a different name.

Under mesh creation does it say grid fill 0.5 ?

Are you able to post larger images. I can't read the ones above.

No it says 1. Though I didn't change it. Investigating.

Worrybirdie, I had this problem yesterday with my painted on texture, the map overlay.  It was compressed, bi-linear at 2048 x 2048,  I doubled it and changed to 16-bit tri-lineal at 4096 x 4096 and it went cartoony.  Went back to bi-linear compressed and it was better.

Thanks RMoor! I've temporarily sworn off the LL, and started working on less baffling aspects of the course. When I get up the courage to return to it  I will give this a try. Its somewhat strange that this only seemed to happen to me when I used the LL (even when it had nothing to do with greens and I hadn't changed the default layer). Seems like it must be something wrong in the LL function of CF(duh!).

When I had this issue it was not caused by changes I made to the course, Unity, or the layers library. Simply saving the layers library with a new name and loading it in was enough to screw up the textures.

I couldn't change anything in the layers library at all because of this, and had to go with the defaults on everything.

The opposite for me. Saving under the same name gave problems. Doing a save as gets better results.

On my present links course I started off with the stock pot library. Now I'm on pot 4.

I address this in a new set of tutorials. Uploading as I type. It's the first video for the creating custom textures tutorials.
