Just a simple question - i personally don't think that the game will be sold. I would like the thread to be open until a dev chimes in with a simple Yes or a simple No.

 

There is almost no info or communication about PG2 at all. I think the question of the poll therefore is warranted (and we got a rumour talking about it).

 

I personally would like PP to succeed in their vision of a great golf sim - without external help.

 

But as a golf game fan: If the funds and the size of the team simply aren't big enough, i wouldn't be opposed seeing a bigger company to further develop on the great foundation the game already has.

That question would be disrespectful imo.

 

I want PG2 to come out. I had so much fun with JNPG - but i stopped playing it 3 months ago. I play TGC2 at a tournament site - although the game itself isn't nearly as sim or realistic as JNPG. I like to compete with other players online - and over 1200 players play at their tournament site. With JNPG there were 30 players in my difficulty level - it was getting stale.

 

I hope PG2 comes out and is a huge success. A bigger player base and a good career mode would certainly bring me back to the game.

My answer is I dont know and hope not but but again I dont know and I will continue to believe it will be they who move the game forward.  I still play everyday but am starting to fool around with TGC2 and some of their events due to that I am getting bored with tournaments right now and that has never happened to me in video golf.  At PGLS I am the only player playing with a controller and one of three or four using RTS period so that is concerning to me.  I think for the time being I will continue to play but also increase my TGC2 play even tho the game itself is not as good gameplay wise as JNPG.

i have heard the MSN story from about half a dozen people over the last 10 or so days.

i PMd crow when i first heard it,but did not ask if it was true or not. just wanted to give him a heads up

it was out there.

i don't know what to think but it looks like someone has dropped the ball on the game all together

so what is one to think?

TBH it took 3yrs to get this game this far, how long will it take to get PG2 there,if there really is one in the works

to the same state of play this one is in, another 3yrs?

Rumor? I've got some pretty hard evidence that PG is being sold. Definitely undervalued though.

I am SURE PP is talking to MS. They should be since they are developing an Xbox One version that will have some linkage to the Windows 10 version. Heck, I would be concerned if they were NOT talking with MS......

It's kind of a stretch, but it's the closest official story I can find that would support some possible discussion taking place.  I think it would be beneficial for Perfect Parallel to have Microsoft as a publisher and possible development partner.  It would open up assets to them I'm certain.
