Just one question:
Are Buck and Mebby the same person? ;-)

What is the matter with some of you? Are you trying to see how many threads you can get closed down? This petty bitching is why I rarely post on this forum anymore.
Just one question:
Are Buck and Mebby the same person? ;-)
LOL! Yea, me and Buck are the same guy. Sometimes I like to email with him so I can get in touch with my other personalities.
If there were something to actually talk about all this petty crap would go away. I just find it ironic that the one guy in here that got himself banned only to come back under an alter ego (and then vehemently defending it) is the one sitting on his high horse calling everyone else a bunch of misfits. It was too good not to call out.

I don't know what happens with forum members, all I see is a number of people ganging up on one person which causes threads to be closed. Can't you all just let it go for now?

You forgot to mention that the "one person" is fabricating misinformation out of thin air.
Why do we need to tolerate that on the forum?

No, but that's what the moderator is for is it not? What is the point of the continual slanging matches every thread?
No more comments on the matter from me.

I hope the game won't end up being sold but the lack of dev input is quite worrying. Perhaps that's where our anger lies?

Why wouldn't they sell it?
The game's a dud (based on sales compared to the other games and numbers in the lobby).
Take the money and run but still make good income from telecast suites. No brainer.
Bye Mike and Andrew. It's been nice annoying you.

Don't forget they are also making good money from simulator players. For sim guys, PG is the best simulator software ever! So, no freaking way they are selling this... ![]()

I don't know if its anger really, maybe a little frustration... but by now, everyone should be used to it. Not that you have to like it, but you do have choices..
1) continue to visit the forums, update or not.
2) linger around every so often, when you do visit, hope there is an update you missed.
3) leave and dont worry about it.

128 so far on tour but most just use OGT practice features and combines. Last 2 weeks have been awesome. got around 48-50 guys playing. But the actual number of PG sim owners is way bigger than 128. Like with anything else, most don't join online tour stuff.

Even those numbers aren't really making the company money.....they need to sell tens of thousands and console/PC needs to sell hundreds of thousands to really be profitable.

Bingo Vance you hit the winning shot. The real money in this game is the Simulator and the Console and there really is no way they will give up control of that. By the way I could care less if it takes three more years to get the game here as I tried and played two rounds at TGC2 today and swear I cant take to much of that torture. Even with a few flaws JNPG is still the best playing game of video golf on the market and yes I will play TGC and Rory but not for my serious video golf as they just are not as good tho Rory at the highest levels is a lot of fun to play.

Just for some perspective on why the console is where this game will make money and why it will be steered that way just look at the first week EA Sports Rory game was released in 2015 and in that first week it sold 216,000 copies world wide. Most consoles are sold at below or at cost as where they make their money is in software sales and with the whole world basically owning consoles the market is huge and TGC and the TGC2 are probable right there with Rory at this time. Also the cost of a console is much less than a good gaming PC and if they allow you to play 3C with a controller like Rory does why would you not buy one as you can pickup a new PS4 or Xbox One for $250 or less and if you want the elite Xbox One X its around $400. Its the future of gaming and I own myself PS2. PS3, Xbox One S not to mention all the old systems like the Dreamcast and Sega also. Yes I love my PC but playing in front of a 60 inch TV is quite nice and if you can why not. There is no way they will sell the rights to this game IMHO as they real money is coming when it gets to console.

Why would I not buy a console? Easy answer, i’m not a gamer. PG is my only game and before it was links 2003. Eliminate the PC platform and I’m history. I’m 73+ and am not interested in new toys. My current PC handles this game extremely well. For PG2 I will have to upgrade to W10 and maybe upgrade my 970 card. No big deal.

Totally fair to feel that way
As far as I've heard though, there are no plans to kill the PC version anyhow, so hopefully no worries.
All that said, if they did go console only at some point, one could hardly blame them, as clearly the numbers show that's where the market share is and they are trying to run a business after all.
Console only does have other advantages, like being able to target your efforts and optimize for known hardware configurations, among other niceties.
