They aren't showcasing grass at the moment if it exists. Seems like they would surely do it. I'm guessing all their base hardware installs can handle it.

They've heavily planted the grass billboards... meh, but that's Unity. I'd love to know if the newer Unity has any soft shader options for the billboards.

The bunker does seems to be improved. Also, seems to have a few more tris around it, lending to softer slopes. But, this can be done in our current CF as well.

For what they're showing, it's better than what they were doing in PG1. But, they've always stuck with stock stuff anyway. Even in VG1. My favorite TM course that I've seen is Shelter Harbor. The textures seem right and the course is well planted but it's not much different than these images.

So, in summary, improved, yes. Something worth teasing, probably not unless they show a little more.

At this point, half the PC user base may be on a blue pill so they would have to know they need to show off more than a little leg. Maybe they're targeting the millennials but I'm certain they can't afford it.

All this makes me wonder just how imminent it's release truly is, although Trackman may not realize how many in their user base are really tuned in for 3D rough grass.

I only saw the top image on Trackman's Instagram page.  Am I somehow missing the second image on their homepage on Instagram?  The reason I'm asking is I just wanted to read the comments about the second image.  The four comments about the first image were simply not enough  ;)

When you click on the image and it goes into the detailed view where there are little arrows on the image itself to go to the next one if there is a second third or fourth image etc.

Got it and thanks!  In my younger years I'd have been able to suss that out on my own! ;)

No worries man.
It is expected of us here in this demographic...

After all, we are actually interested in a simulation oriented golf video game.
It’s hard to get more out of touch than that - lol

I had the chutzpah to ask the following in that Instagram thread: "Are these screens indicative of the graphics we'll see in Perfect Golf 2, on the PC?  That could get me the ban hammer  ^_^

LMAO!
Kudos to you sir. I love it.

That probably will give their social media manager occasion to spit out their drink all over the screen and start laughing

Yep!
Gotta keep on message, lest the Sim crowd starts noticing that PG1 is a thing and there is this wide world of third party courses.

(Wouldn’t help TM users of course - but still - would be humorous if it started coming up on their social)

Will TM allow pc players to have PG2/VG2?

PROS:

Now that PG2 is on the horizon (satire), I'm going to resurrect a brilliant idea of mine.

First, secure a huge budget from the people with all the money. Done.

Then, have a team design a PG controller specifically for use of a section of players in PG2. (Those crazy clickers can have their own section.)

Have them manufactured and priced for a good profit. Instantly eradicate cheating and accusations of cheating.

Build a decent game.

Pros, Cons?

I like the idea of a longer thumb stick.
