Very well priced actually. $1500 one off purchase for the equivalent from Foresight which is far behind in graphical quality (and plays like a dog).

Wow. Those images are absolutely spectacular. I would say they've finally reached a quality workflow for course realism and AAA environment. So much goodness in that video.

The latest TPS 7.4 software is out and the feature march continues..

It remains painful to watch development of the product progress as we are, seemingly, permanently trapped on PG1

:(

It's evolutionary for sure, but the difference is pretty apparent to me, particularly when I did some side by side comparisons last night.

The textures, custom assets, ocean and scenery, grass, attention to detail on/around bunkers, the overhead (wow the overhead is so nice...), the UI fit and finish - etc -- it's all a cut above to varying degrees.

And of course - it's a platform that is still a going concern.

These gaps are only going to get wider (sadly), and nearly all the course designers we had for PG have either left or have been acquired by Trackman.

The end of the road is out there for PG1 with almost nobody even considering designing for it.

There is such a cohesive smoothness and looking of "belonging" to everything here.

I really can't recall it being like this on anything other than Rory.

The work they put in to make everything look "right" together is just impeccable.

So nicely done by the TM design team.  I really hope there end up being more videos of other courses to check out.

I sure hope it's smoother in-game and it's just that video that was a stutter-ferst

Beautiful game visuals though - thx for sharing.

Here's a more in-depth look into the TM Virtual Golf 2 software.  While there are some elements that are specific to swinging a real club a majority of the features would make for a great mouse or joystick based golf sim.  Essentially what we are seeing is where PG2 could have gone.  Add a career mode and golfer modding and what's not to love?

Would you purchase "TrackMan presents: Perfect Golf 2?".

I've started the video after the hardware setup and at the point where they start looking into the software.

My first reaction to this video when I saw all the numerous setting options was referencing the old saying "Analysis Paralysis". If your brain could compute all this information prior to your golf swing in an actual golfing environment. you probably would never need a golf lesson and would probably have your tour card mailed to you. Seriously in answer to your question Joe, you could definitely count me in. This is of course under one condition. Eliminate a great number of technical options related to the physics of the golf swing. (Very Boring). Keep it simple: You know, Full Shot, Pitch , Punch, Chip, and of course fade or draw. Then  simply Grip  It and Rip It. It is really all inmaterial anyways because we all know that this is never going to be a reality. Lastly, I would never shell out more than a "C" note for any golf sim, so that pretty well settles the question "What If" as far as I am concerned.

**** no, they treated us like crap doing what they did and you all would still bend over backwards for them? PG1 was great, they f**** us over, so they do not deserve a second chance.
