I've been working on a recreation of Tom Fazio's Black Diamond Ranch for awhile now and it is getting close to completion. The course is in private beta testing at the moment, but should be ready for public testing soon. Here are some screenshots:

No surprise that this looks amazing.

I've said this before, but Rolling Evergreen brought me here.

Nice to see you dipping your toes in the water with PG Brian, I too fondly remember Rolling Evergreen among your other JN6 courses. Will look forward to this soon!

Awesome to see you here, Brian! If memory serves me correctly, your version of Avenel for JN6 was one of my very favorite courses made for video game golf. All your efforts for that game were awesome, but that one for me stands out. I still have the box here from GBC as a keepsake. Can't wait to give this one a spin in my simulator! So glad to see you designing for JNPG, Brian. Hope you're doing well!

An instant classic that plays as good as it looks, but wouldn't expect anything less from my good friend ;)

FYI - The closing stretch is just superb in every way.

Thank you everyone for the very kind feedback. It is much appreciated.

It is also nice to hear some of you remember my old JNSE/JN5/JN6 course design Rolling Evergreen. Back when the Course Forge was still in beta testing, I had started work on creating a new version of that course for JNPG. I got all of the shapes drawn in, but it still needs a lot of work. I would also need to convert it to the latest version of the Course Forge, which I think is possible since I remember seeing a tutorial Mike wrote about the process. I'll need to track that down.

The Quarry course. Some of the screenshots probably gave that away.  ;)

I've been very fortunate and had the opportunity to play the Quarry course three different times. Incredible experience and I was able to take LOTS of photos that really helped for reference. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to play either the Ranch or Highlands courses. I've heard the Ranch course is an excellent design.

Nice to see some excitement for a non 3D grass / Non overhead course,  i've been holding back on country club brookline because i don't have the patience for the overhead work on this track or the will to incorporate 3D grass.  All these beautiful courses make the standard route look a bit meh!

I understand what you’re saying about the overhead which can take a lifetime to look even half decent but the basic 3D grass is surprisingly simple. The difficulty is blending the colours and you are a master at that so you would find that very easy.

I still play MANY great courses w/out the overlay method and/or 3DG (including yours).  Hammer out Brookline when you have time..those of us that still play on occasion would enjoy it I'm sure.

I enjoy all of modern course types...

...but I would be lying if I didn't admit that the 3DG is a really nice addition, particularly with how well it's been implemented in some of the recent 3DG releases.

The realistic look it adds is pretty amazing.

(I'm still blown away with how different it looks - performance aside - on NVIDIA vs AMD cards)

Also, not sure if anyone else is doing this, but with how great the newer course releases have become I actually found myself not playing some of the very early ones anymore.

It's gotten to the point where I've been culling out some of them and straight up deleting them.

I'm very much a quality over quantity person in this regard though.

It's probably why the TGC "play a GAZILLION COURSES" feature really never has done much for me.
