I played 2 games on the World Golf Tour . Out of 36 holes, I was able to one putt one time. I always played 3 click on TWO so WGT is quite a challenge.

I've been playing TW14 on Xbox 360 for the last month or so since the patch was released.  Plan on going back to playing TW08 PC soon as I've been neglecting it trying to get better at the difficult  TW14 simulation mode. :)

Cool avatar by the way Sinewiz.  My favorite show of all time.

I'm not playing anything right now. If I want to play golf, I play TW08 or WGT but the putting on both of those suck. So I'm waiting with baited breath so see this new game. I can't wait.

Me too. I dont like the swing meter on WGT. It sucks.

Tiger Woods PC PGA 2008  (you can buy it at www.amazon.com as a download.)

Then download all the courses you could possible want from www.coursedownloads.com

Links 2003 which can be purchased at  www.linkscountryclub.com .

Again, download all the courses you could ever want for free at www.linkscorner.org .

Both games work fine with Windows 7 32 or 64 bit and are very inexpensive to purchase. They are a fraction of their orignal cost.

I play golf on links 2003 v1.07 PC several time each day on "Links Career" and so far I won 4 trophies and fake money on different tourneys.
After all the downloads and got used to the 3 click power wheel(called Classic)and aim because of the winds etc., I enjoy playing the golf there. There are still a lot of thing I have to figure out what to do with all their stuff.

They give you 4 choices of swing type; E easy, C classic, R real time or PS power stroke unless a tourney requires their own. I like the Classic similar to TW.

I still use my ID name as LADYBOGEY there too.

In the future we will all see what Perfect Parallel has for us.

Golf Star on iOS mobile. This is not a great platform for golf gaming, but I have to admit this game is quite good and very addicting. Also, looks great too!

Links 2003 with the mod.  Love it.

I've never played TW08, but based on the comments in this and other threads, it sounds pretty good.  For those who have played both, how does it compare to Links 2003 as a sim?  Not looking for 350 yard drives and crazy scores.  I'm curious to try it.

I've played both Links 2003 and TW2008 ad nauseam and I believe Links 2003 to be the better representation of a round of simulated golf. That said, some of my best times were playing online TW2008. Not really necessary to start another "which game is better thread" but for me personally I preferred Links 2003 "after" I began playing with the 1.07 mod.

Thanks for the reply.  Definitely not trying to start a "which is better" thread, just curious as to the main differences between the two games.

TW08 is a good golf game, Links 2003 is a good golf sim.

I love driving sims. I play with manual gears, driving lines turned off, auto brake off etc. That is Links - a simulation. Turn on the driving aids and you have TW - a game. There is nothing wrong with either. The fun comes from what gives you enjoyment. Some people enjoy the challenge, others the results. ;)

Playing TW08 at CGX Expert, true swing.  Love it because expert level is tough but I would like to see a similar game with updated graphics.  I have a regular group & we play numerous courses from CGX & CourseDownloads.
