I'm playing Links 2003 ver 1.07 at apcd-courses and direct connection or using gameranger to play with friends. I play the more difficult swing type PowerStroke which allows me to play under difficult conditions at about the same level as a touring PGA pro. If compare statistics on occasion to see how close my play matches the pros.

ive been playing w.g.t for over 3 years now, but that site is getting very stagnant . it seems as if they dont give a crap about their members, all they want is your money with very little in return. im ready for a change, cant wait for this game to get up and running.

if you think about it,you see that a lot. things grow and less thought gets put into the little things
and the members, they get a taste of the cash and it seems it is like some folks let the thought on the
money take over. you know some say money is the root of all evil.lol
now so far what im seeing here is could be the folks that save the PC golf world

Surprised no one mentioned Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (PS3)
The game was cartoonish but my god the mechanics and gameplay were really solid.
That game was awesome.
If I could have the gameplay of Hot Shots with something more realistic looking like Tiger I'd be a happy man.
Hopefully Perfect Golf delivers that experience or something even better.
Check it out:
Although these guys are not using the traditional three click swing which I much more preferred.

Links 2003 v1.07 (PC)
Golfstar (Smartphone/Tablet)
Everybody's Golf: World Tour (PS3)
Though here in the UK the game is called Everybody's Golf: World Tour.

My bad Dazmaniac... didn't know it had a different name in the UK.
Honestly, if there was ANY golf game out there worth playing for the pc I'd be playing it right now.

I've played Links for years - currently 03 mod 1.07 but am presently looking at TW. Don't understand how anyone can call this superior graphically to Links - okay at Pebble Beach you see some wave action and some trees move in the wind but take away the candy and the TW graphics can't touch HD Links. Until PP comes along, I'll stick with Links and trust the PP crew to go for simulation rather than arcade gee-gaw.

If you tried TW's 08 and had all the Graphics turned up to Very High, I think you would find they have pretty darn good graphics, if you like a Live 3d environment..
Not knocking Links, just saying, 08 can be pretty plain unless you go into the OPTIONS and set everything to Very High...
But to each his own and that's fine.. I'm sure Links has some very good things about it too...
Peace
Done with designing.
