this was taken at Ultra High settings, 1920X 1080 fullscreen, with everything on but V Sync.

Well besides wondering if you're in Beruit.... My other wonderment is - How the hell are your shots going straight and making it to the green when you're missing the snap so much ? ?
Oh, and ya that looks pretty crakin' man... wow!

If it were me, and I was making a video to show off the graphics, I would use a player with all of the Options turned on so people could concentrate on the course and game videos rather on the flight of the ball.

Looks great no doubt. Ultra High bogs my system down a bit so I play on High. Big thing I notice about Ultra High is the shadow detail is MUCH more defined.
Agree with dedBuNNY..my shots would have been all over the course and I would be begging for par.

Fortunately, with my rig, i've been playing at Ultra with all the sliders to the right, and VSync off as well. It's truly a gorgeous game, Mick!

Out of interest what are your PC specs Rehit.
I struggle to play some holes on High and would love to know as a comparison.

it is an old benchmarking rig i built about 7 years ago.
at the time i was deeply involved in the world of overclocking PC's.
the rig set several world records for air cooled PC's.
i had it running at 5GHZ stable for most tasks.
Asus P5Q-Pro MB
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8600 Xeon Server ES (engineering sample) currently at 4.0 GHZ
Corsair PC2-8500 8 GB DIMM 1066 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (engineering sample)
SAPPHIRE HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 Dirt3 Edition
SeaSonic X-1250 ( SS-1250XM2 ) 1250W ATX Power Supply
engineering samples are what the manufacturers supply to companies for testing before release and are hand picked items...
they are not available for sale to the public.
i know a guy lol.
the only thing new in the system is the video card.
it is one bad ass card since it only cost $109...
you do need a beast power supply to run it.
it needs a minimum 500 watt PS, but i would recommend at least 750 to be safe.
if you disregard this requirement you will burn out your power supply.
i have ordered a 2nd card and will stack them in Crossfire soon.
not too bad for 7 year old tech...
i will get a picture of it later today when i get home from the shop.

no...
the aids are on max.
and just like real golf.
if you know you hook the ball, aim right.
it really is like real golf.
i will get my snap back soon.
i just got this monster running again and hooked up to the 60" LED TV in my den.
to say it is a little different is definitely an understatement.
contrary to what some seem to think.
when Mike, Andrew, and I are testing we are doing so in the same environment as all of you.
to do anything different would be utterly useless.
they are sometimes playing from the editor to debug things we are working on, but it is no different.

here are a few pics as promised.
they are unedited other than being reduced from 16 mega pixels.
the settings are as shown in the picture and it runs from 40-60 FPS.
i just noticed the God Rays are off lol.
i will have to fix that but it doesn't even dent the FPS.
you may notice the fans on the ram.
it is overclocked as well, and needs to be cool.

i just noticed a typo in the specs.
this is the video card.
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814202113
i already ordered the 2nd one.
i would recommend this to anyone who has a PCI Express 2.0 MB.
they are only $109 and you have seen the performance.
just be sure you are not going to be bottle necked by your CPU.
i would think any dual core or quad core running around 3 GHZ would be fine.

Well thanks for that, it gives me gr8 hope for mine. 2core duo E8900 3.00 GHz Maybe I will invest in a bigger psu and better card one day instead of a whole new rig... Wow, you can stick a dual slot card in your's, I wasn't sure if I could, I got 2 capacitors that look like they would be in the way.. I will re-investigate.. Peace

If you do get a new PSU then consider a modular one - less cables and better air flow inside your PC case. The EVGA SuperNova G2 series are amazing!

Mick,
Apparently you're not seeing any "meter lag" on your 60"?
I did have a little bit, so I went back to my 40".
Posted 27 February 2015 - 07:37 PM
i will let you know when i hook it up to the 100" projector in the living room.
i do not think it is lag,
the speed is just a tad different.
Posted 27 February 2015 - 09:08 PM
Okay, gonna experiment with the 60" this afternoon.
