Black Swan 74 (40+34) MS pro BLI NPM

Breezy, Stimpmeter 10, Easy pin positions

That was my best round on Black Swan so far. After a bad start with bogeys on 1, 2, 3 and 5 and a double on 9 with only one birdie on 6 the back nine were very solid. Only one more bogey on 11 with birdies on 10, 12, 14 and 16.

50% Fairways, 56% GIR, 1.67 PPH

72  even par at The Swan. (EDIT: Not The Swan, The Heath)

Medium pins and breezy. DFP

Got to 2 under and turned 1 under after a double at 7. Could only get one bird on the back at 16 but held it together. Wanted that sub par though.

Black Swan, +5 77.  71% FIR and 61% GIR.  I hit alot of fairways here and alot of greens, but the story here was a failed putter.  I was 2.0 avg putts per GIR.  Just couldnt get anything to drop except for a lucky 39 footer on #14.  Tough day on the greens for sure.

Illinois CC calm, normal, S10

Off/Off/off BLI

71 (E) Birdies at 2,8,12,16. Bogies at 1,5,17,18

31 putts. 64% FIR 78% GIR

One of my best rounds. Love this course.

TCP Boston (Mass) - calm, normal, 10 stimp, med pins

72 - birdies at 1, 2, 5. 7, 10, and14;  bogies at 9 and 13;  d.bogies at 6 and 8.

FIR=36     GIR=56   pph=1.44 (26 total)

Started great, was -3 at the 6th tee - then started to get lazy with missed snaps. Had some great approaches ( 6ft, 6ft, 4ft) on the front.

Shadowlands - calm, normal, 10 stimp, med pins

72 - birdies at 1, 2, 5. 17, and 18;  bogies at 3, 7, and 14;  d.bogies at 9.

FIR=43     GIR=56   pph=1.56 (28 total)

Another fast start - out to -2 on the front. Fall back to +2 heading home. Then birdie, birdie finish.

I've nit-pick on PG in two other threads today, but man are the physics spot-on for 95% of the other cases, or what?

Crystal Pines - breezy, normal, 9, easy pins - 74. Had some birdies, some bogies and a swim.  Only hit 21% of fairways but I was usually only just off the fairway.  GIR=61% and pph=1.67.

Crystal Pines 74 (35+39) MS pro BLI NPM

Calm, Stimpmeter 11, Difficult pin positions

Solid front nine with a bogey on 4 and a birdie on 8 were followed by not too good back nine (a double on 17, bogeys on 10, 14, 15 and birdies on 12 and 16).

50% Fairways, 39% GIR, 1.50 PPH

Even par 72 at Florida Glades.

Birdie on 12 then a great run - birdied last three holes.

79% fairways the stand out.

Nice round, I can live with a few bogies, just trying to get away from the doubles

Black Swan 70 (-2)

Off/off/off. BLI MS

Calm, normal, 10, medium pins

GIR 78%. FIR 43%. PPH 1.61

Played much more consistently this round. Sunk a 19ft putt with about 4ft of break for a birdie on the 5th. Approach play was decent but 2 putted most greens. Very enjoyable format this, Ted.

Florida Glades 77 (+5)

In the water once

It should've been one shot better but played a howler of a chip on the 18th ... !

Shadowlands. 72 (E)

Usual all aids off. BLI calm, normal 10, medium pins

Should have been a 70 but for a very dubious roll over the hole up hill from 7ft straight over the top and 34" beyond. So irritated I lost concentration on the next putt and pulled it wide of the hole. Grrr!

Otherwise a really tidy round. Hitting those fairways and approaches with something approaching consistency.

69        at breezy Massachusetts.

Well I got into the 60s. Had a birdie run at 9, 10 and 11 then 14 and 18.

Hit 71% fairways but holed putts from everywhere for 21 putts at Medium pins (using DF I'm afraid)

I think Massachusetts is probably the easiest greens for putting though.

......Very enjoyable format this, Ted.

Thanks man. I can't wait to get out there again.

Just a reminder to everyone. You can play the same course endlessly. No need to post scores that aren't Personal Bests. You PB score is your target for a little personal comp.

......but man are the physics spot-on for 95% of the other cases, or what?

Very happy with the chipping physics now. There's a really good feel about everything at the moment. Watching my shot from player view with a slight draw is getting me very immersed.  Your scores fixed J - apologies. Averages fixed once I shake off my darling wife.

One thing that I've developed is a practice swing routine. It's more like when Pros on telly take those waist-high half swings to get a feel of the tempo. I take the mouse to the 6 o'clock but if that backswing is a bit clunky I'll abort. Sometimes three swings to get comfortable but a lot where I'll go through with the first swing. I have to admit I'm driving accurately.
