Have not played since Thursday as I am down at beach till Monday night and I really miss playing and couldn't say that with other games. Will play another round when I get back and think I will try Black Swan and also looking forward to the two new courses that will be coming soon. Lots of very good scores I am seeing and Ted that is real nice round there. I don't think we will ever see a 59 on an every day basis with Pro level so I guess I might as well just go to that level and work on it. Can't be worse than my real game yesterday as I butchered my way around a Premier course down here so I shall be back to the Pro game shortly.

Cool G...........

It surprised me when I started driving consistently straight. I expected a tougher learning curve. As with a lot of disciplines, you plateau for a while then you reach that next level.

A 59 at Pro at the moment will be quite an achievement. Not impossible. I think this FPC scoring is about spot on Parallel with real life. To shoot a low score you'll have to play well. Not impossible. I'm looking forward to seeing those mid-sixties scores and hearing the stories.

Crystal Pines, +9 81.  43% and 22% FIRs and GIRs.  I'm surprised GIRs weren't 0%.  I don't remember which green it was I hit in regulation.  Tons of pitching practice tho.

66            Southampton.

Woah!  Nothing happening. Even par after 6 then birds 7, 10, 13, 16. I was like, uncommitted - I was watching telly between shots, a bit out of it, Sunday arvo - but I was doing everything right. Executing well. Got to the 17th, which I find a bit of a test, but thought I'd let the breeze bring it in off the right. Let the wind do the work - hole in one. That got me to 6 under.

Crystal Pines  76  (+5)

3CL / PRO / BLI

I really thought this round was going to be better, started out very solid and by the time I'd finished the 6th I was par and feeling good ... then hitting the snap just left me ... I was getting the distance fairly well but line was bad for the rest of the game, a couple of long 1 putts (22ft and 28ft) saved the round from being a lot worse!

Really liking this circuit Ted, great idea  :)

Thanks robbie. It took a hole in one though. Hit 71% fairways and 78% greens. It has to help.

Florida Gates 73 (35+38) MS pro BLI NPM

Breezy, Stimpmeter 11, Medium pin positions

The round was quite okay until the 18th hole. After birdies on 2, 6, 9, 11 and 17 and bogeys on 5, 8, 13 and 15 I began no. 18 with one under. I hit the fairway with the drive but the second shot went into the water...played a double and finished the round over par again.

64% Fairways, 67% GIR, 1.67 PPH

I have been doing a lot of observing from afar and have concluded that the more you play Pro the better you get and for those playing 25 rounds a week your scores are showing it and I say well done to all of you. Now for me tho I can play four days and then come back after three days off and it's like starting all over again as with Pro as you lose your tempo but the most important aspect the short game really suffers after three days off. Now with Min I don't seem to have that problem and that is why I have favored the min level. One thing will not change for me every week and that is come Friday I leave for the Beach and don't return most weeks till Sunday night and that will not change as for me that is my lifestyle and I quite enjoy it. So instead of coming back and being frustrated shooting 75 to 80 I myself will stick to the Min mode and bid farewell to the Pro tour and play the Min way. I commend you Pro's for your dedication as it is a seven day obligation to keep sharp and that is just not possible for this Min guy. Ted great round of 66 and JMK at 68 which at Pro is quite the rounds. Good luck and I hope all of you Pro's get a Bingo.

Teddy - wow tough crowd.

G - playing Pro on a regular basis does help improve your score.  I found the t-shot the most difficult to adjust to (water and OOB).  The putting change made the scoring somewhat easier, so the change from min/min wasn't too much of a shock.  I hope you change your mind and return to the Pro Tour - your coments are always insitfull.

Teddy,

The brightness of that 66 at SH is really hurting my eyes - can you do something about that mate? (jk - great round).

JMK don't take it as I am upset I am not as the Pro thing is great but just not for me. You have to play this game all the time to be any good at Pro and I can't do that as I am not around enough to play that way. I love this game but to me it's fun at Min and torture at Pro and if I had more time to play I would do it exclusively but I don't. Now I will fire a round or two at Pro but most of my play will be at Min. Video golf is about having fun and everyone has a different idea of what that is and these events are good and needed but at some point we will have a league setup on the PG website and I will play Min as that is where I feel most people will play. It's all good and again it's just a game.
