Well other than some fine detail work and some other touch ups I'm basically finished with this course. I'll have to say it required more effort than  the other course designer that's out now but there is NO way I could of done this course using the other program. Yes this takes a bit more work to get things done (as there aren't premade fairway shapes, etc) but the end product that CF puts out is amazing. The courses to me look more natural to where they exist in real life (if you're doing a real life course like I did). MJ and the team are heading in the right direction with CF and I'm so glad that he has allowed me to beta test it

Play tested my course a bunch of times and Mike has looked at it...waiting to hear back and see if there are any issues that need to be addressed, if not I will be done with the course.

It's currently being beta tested and one thing I've learned........when planting trees, you might think you need more but you really need less.

Yea - I'm ready to play this one.  Looks very, very well done.

 

I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the talent that I'm seeing thus far and it gives me a lot of hope for the future of user created courses!!  I guess I was thinking that CF was going to be difficult enough to use that it would slow the pace of user created content.  While I still think that is the case, the current crop of courses that are being developed have made me realize 2 things:

 

1 - The pace of new courses won't be as fast/ridiculous as TGC

2 - There are some talented people putting out some really nice looking courses - especially for their first pass at it.  It will only improve with time!

I agree with you on both your points, it will be interesting once more people get involved with CF to see how some of the die hard users of GNCD get along with CF.
