The OP asked about this game in the future. It's kind of a shame that folks can't give honest answers to a very honest question. Actually, it's a very simple answer....This will be an excellent game in the future....WHY??? can't some folks just leave it at that....Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow.......No one is saying that you should not be a "fanboy" of a game..IF..you really feel that you have to be....

If you truly feel that strongly about a "video game"...good on you...

EVERYONE, knows about both games.....WHY? not just leave it at that.......

SORRY, but i am just getting tired of the BS back and forth rhetoric about both games, it's absolute crap.......

...and before you say it....sure, i don't need to comment on the forum....

BUT...both games are in my library........

That is not an answer, either. It is just one user's prediction. Users can only recommend a game based on their own experiences.

 

But, I do agree that there has been a lot of unnecessary rhetoric when comparing golf games. It seems like a lot of users feel like they need to put one game down, in order to state the case for the other.

 

Ultimately, I don't think these game comparisons can be fair, until both games are beyond the beta state.

 

But, when it comes right down to it, each game will have its own strong points; and, each user will have their own preferences for which game they would rather spend more time playing.

I agree that both games have their good and bad points. The problem for me with TGC is that it's far too easy to hit straight shots on the normal and hard settings and too hard to hit straight shots using the very hard settings. The difficulty needs to more progressive, as in PG.
The 'canned' chip and pitch shots also effect my enjoyment of the game.
If these points were addressed TGC would be a very good alternative.

Well I got tossed into a Tour Pro mode round..............was interesting!  I did ok once I figured things out a little.

 

( I think I did it to myself.....messing around with player settings )

 

Going back for more practice!!!
