Love that its tough.. love the course It's self. Do you have an over head view of course k11? I do agree that some of the ob's are a tad in your face, and maybe could be represented on the overhead map better. Not sure about links courses having all these ob's I know in the good old usa there are no interior ob's on courses. and id like a free drop on the light house hole. that is a manmade obstruction.....

Sorry, no recent top view available. O.O.B sensitive holes are
3: the fence down the left side of fairway and green
5: down the left all the way to the water
10: Down the right side of the hole
18: down the left side of the hole to the top of hill in front of green (Can be carried from shorter teees)
And alternatively, wherever you see white stakes. O.O.B's are defined by ownership as well as design. Where the plot ends, out of bounds begins.
Drop zones have been announced but are not implemented yet in CF&PG. I could think of other spots gettting one, but certainly not the 8th. You really want your ball to flirt with that thing? Then that's on you.

The facetious (fa·ce·tious) nature of the comment is not what I was addressing, my post was in reference to the element of truth contained therein.
Certainly, "being glad" when a game is over has never been my idea of fun.

"Much arrogance in you do I sense."
I don't see any "fun" in your posts. I know that spell checking is a bit anal and calling someone arrogant about a course that calls for "smart golfing" sounds like insecurity.
Whatever comes your way in life, I hope it brings some positive karma, seriously.

...The safe play on Karen, is a 3W or 1H off the tee. And for second shots it's the heart of the green.
Heart of the green? I would have as much chance of finding K11's heart. ( That's humour by the way...take it easy. Sort of like Bob Hope humour (cue canned laughter).)

It's curious as to why you inadvertently assumed I intended to have "fun" in that post. You also should recognize the obvious, in that the proper use of the English language adds credibility (not to mention legibility).
Finally, take note I'm not a pagan and don't believe in such foolish notions as "karma". God's Justice, yes.
"Lucky charms", "amulets", "karma", and other superstitious oddities, no.

This thread is cracking me up. If I were K11 I think I'd be honored that my course has created such a stir!!
I have a love/hate relationship with Karen. I love to hate it and hate to love it all at the same time!!

for the life of me, I can't find My Player on the leaderboard as I play the round or after the round. Is this a known issue?
well sir you win a prize. My current Player name and Steam name are the same. However at the PG social site my player name is listed as my old GolfVader name. I changed my player name about 2 months ago. So me thinks (my guess) this difference between current name and old player name is causing anomalies in tournament leaderboards currently based out of the social site. Like IanD's test tournament.

Well, that's one way to look at it. There are other ways too.
Whatever the case, we await hundreds (thousands?) more courses for PG down the road. There will be other things to talk about.

PGA players often complain about courses in real life too. Especially once they've struggled. It's human nature. Most people's first reaction will not be to blame themselves.Well, that's one way to look at it. There are other ways too.

People are scoring on Karen... Even in the most difficult conditions. So it can be done.
I don't think there's a rule that states every course should be easy to every player.

Terrible course, IMO. I have no urge to play putt-putt courses and that's exactly what i feel this course is.

I got caught trying to be too brave/cocky during the 3rd round...was below par after 8 holes and ended up hitting the water twice on the next couple of holes. Thought..the heck with it...went for it on hole 16...and ALMOST got a hole-in-one! I was THIS close to jumping up in the air, probably destroying my chair when landing again...
I caught it on video: https://www.youtube....h?v=QsPWkQuWVMQ

The great Alistar Mackenzie, designer of Cypress Point and Augusta National was quoted as saying that if he made a course where everybody liked it, he got worried that he had done something wrong.
Courses that divide opinion are usually a bit special.

Played round one of Elite Event and shot 71 +1 and took new approach to the course and yes Ted is right you have to keep the Driver in the bag most of the time. This is a very challenging layout and its just like playing an Open Championship and you have to take what it gives you. There are holes on this course that I absolutely love and there are a few I wish my caddie would have brought a few sticks of dynamite and we could blow up. Playing these two new courses has reaffirmed what I have said and thought for quite a while that we will be seeing more of these courses in the future and that Par will be a good score and that is what we all have craved for a while. Whether you love or hate Karen you sure have got to admire the beast and you damn well better respect it when playing it or it will bite you big time.

Putt-putt = mini-golf. Essentially a putting only course that is meant to be fun to all people (not just golfers), often 'tricked-up' with spinning windmills blades blocking holes, putting into clowns' mouths, unrealistic hole layouts (putting through tunnels, figure 8s, etc.), and a myriad of other 'fun' things.
