For the first time, I tried this game using the XBox 360 Wireless Controller. It works like a charm! However, I find that I'm driving the ball about 290-295 yds (carry). With roll, I'm easily past 300 yds on most drives. Am I doing something wrong? Should I really be hitting it that long? For the time being, I'm using the Hacker setting with Moderate assists. I've never hit the ball that far consistently in any other golf sim. That's why I'm wondering.

To Cat: Update.
Played my first round of golf at Southampton links. Not a great score but no worse than my other scores since using RTS-C.
The round was very enjoyable. The new XEOX worked extremely well. Remained absolutely smooth throughout the whole round and gave me more of a feeling of using a natural golf swing which my other controllers never did.
This controller is perfect for this game IMO, as I said above, it is a real little gem, no doubt.
Well I have played a few rounds so far and I can say that the XEOX is one great controller and the best in my bag tho after my 66 at OGT RTS I expect to be flogged but even with my Logitech F310 I have been getting better the last two days and my big issue with putting is now resolved. For a further test I just took my F310, Afterglow and Xbox 360 out for a few holes and the putting is the same with the F310 and afterglow but not as good with the 360 and hitting the ball the closest to the XEOX is the F310 and Afterglow. It is a very good controller and I have the wireless version and it just seems more natural in your hands than the others. For me tho my biggest problem has been the putting and the new found knowledge of how to putt has taken about 15 blows off my score but there is no doubt in my mind that the XEOX is the straightest of the clubs in my bag right now and really would like to try an Elite but will stay with what I have for now.

Cool... that's two thumbs ups for the XEOX. When you get a chance, I'd like to hear your results from the range with the swingpath deviation switching from left to right thumbsticks on the XEOX.

I would like some feedback from Xbox One stock controllers. Whether mini USB wired or wireless dongle. Playing RTS-C Pro.
Does anyone using this controller and Pro difficulty getting good and consistent results with the left stick for swinging?
Does anyone using this controller and Pro difficulty getting good and consistent results with the right stick for swinging?
For me the left is unplayable at the moment. I think this has been pretty well documented and I'm sure will be addressed at some point. For that reason I tried Pro difficulty with the right stick but it is not my usual way of playing (TGC) so it's hard for me to tell if this controller with Pro difficulty still needs some tuning as I find it much better than left swing but still seems too much hit or miss.

No, there is no ratio on controller swing.
Regarding gain, here is a threshold at which you will start to 'gain' speed if your downswing is fast enough. How much is enough is something you will have to experiment with - it's a skill to be learned.
I get my best results from swinging a little shorter and swinging down faster, some people will like to swing longer but slower coming down which will net the same speed result but it's nice to have options so you can develop a feel which is personal to you.
Your comments above have helped me tremendously so far. I was swinging very slowly during the backswing and downswing and simply not hitting the ball well and just took your advice and hitting it much better, not to mention it feels more like a Golf swing....thanks again Mike!

I'm using an Xbox 360 wired, right handedness.
After one round I much prefer it to 3C, just need to get the feel for short game and putting.
And it seems like I have a slight natural draw on full shots! Overall much more accurate than 3C!
Will report back if you still want some numbers?

Me too. I am putting some right hand side on the cue ball ( sorry shot set up ) to counteract it

I've never found a way to take a full practice swing with a controller but you can arm the swing, take your backswing, and then slowly let the club return to the ball. It does help in getting a feel for the required backswing prior to actually taking a full downswing.
