When I bought my first Links 386, I thought it was a great golf game. It had limitations, the more I played, the more things I found to be incorrect or not as I thought they should or could be. Even so, I bought every update as it came out. I had no means of giving the creators my opinion, but the basic game was good enough for me to shell out every time it was updated. I also, like many others, bought all the add-on courses. I played and enjoyed Links2K3 right up until the first EA release of PG. I loved Elite PowerStroke, even with it's limitations but I have removed it and the 600+ courses. I pledged money for PG at Kickstarter because I thought PG was going to be THE golf sim. Yes, JNPG does have things I personally don't think are correct, hitting a wood "Hard" should not make it go less far and a number of other issues but, my expectations of PG was well founded as I thoroughly enjoy the golfing experience JNPG provides. The greatest thing in it's favour is that it IS and will continue to be, getting better. PP are a small company, their biggest downfall is PR. They have a fabulous range of game testers here in this forum, people who bother (because we think it's worth it) to explain any bugs we find and suggest any things we think will improve it. They should try to utilise our input. JNPG will be THE golf sim, but we must be a little more patient, after all, we do have a very playable game now, which is dirt cheap at $35.00 and most of us paid $20. The PG courses are built to a very high standard and so are the majority of user designed ones, and they are FREE. Come on guys, carry on making helpful comments, carry on bug reporting, but lets give the guys at PP our support as often as possible, but keep those good ideas coming!
