FY! for those having issues or problems with anti cheat and making the game unplayable. Hope this helps!

Edit: Found this out after trying to help a friend who was having anti cheat kick in constantly with a generic mouse. He felt i had advantage with a gaming mouse. I pulled my HP mouse out of the closet and was shocked to see my shots going straighter with the cheap HP mouse. The HP just has a cheap sensor and dead zone.

1.4.1.2 antic cheat  has not kicked in yet on G502 but has on altered dead zone of M400 and Cheap HP mouse.

Doing its job i believe.

For visual reference open up paint program and simulate your swing path and draw a line with your swing.

@JTee1

It looks like I have an Average Sensor, Logitech MX 518. Yesterday I noticed a good bit of wayward shots that felt good. I do nothing other than turn off mouse acceleration. Does that create more of a dead zone? I do not use ant other software for it and have made no changes to dpi other than center the slider in Windows. It sounds like your saying you have to alter something to get the dead zone? Is that correct?

Thanks

Go to driving range to check your wayward shots it will tell you with stats and if you get a big fade or draw your probably penalized. Or F8 shows anticheat function kicked in. Not sure about Mouse acceleration being off or on but mine is off. Just a cheap dead zone mouse or altered mouse will cause anticheat to kick in. Hope this helps

Things seem much better on the range right now. I've only taken about 15 swings so we will see. I do not do anything to the mouse other than those two options Windows 10 gives in the Mouse Control Panel under the Pointer Options tab. The "Select pointer speed" Slider and the Enhance Pointer Precision radio button which is off. I do wonder if Enhance Pointer Precision being off creates a minuscule dead zone or if you pause too long in the swing it reads the mouse as projecting a dead zone.

I use the slider to adjust the actual tempo that feels right to me while the in-game settings set the pace of the tempo and of course mouse travel distance. It is set right now just past center to the right. We could use some more feedback about differences with the Enhance Pointer Precision radio button being on or off. I don't even know how to change DPI or care to learn which might self handicap me but there it is. Thanks for your insight it has been helpful.

Went to play Ridgeway 2nd game and ok until 6th hole where is hooked. I pulled out as why go any further. Anyone want to look at the log (forgot name of it)?

Thanks for bringing this mouse thing up as I was going to mention that about a year ago I bought this 5-button Chinese mouse but ended up putting in the default 5 button MS mouse driver. I like it mainly because of the nice feel (grip) and has nice sliders underneath. What I don't like is I can't get rid of #5 button back function. Luckily it doesn't function in PG but in a browser it's a pain. Should I install a 3 button driver? (Just a quick jump off topic)

The mouse brand is Red Dragon Lite (sounds Chinese lol) and model Centrophorsus. I like the way it DOESN'T grab on the mouse pad. If I can keep it would love to. Anyway standing by.

You can hit F8 to see if the anti cheat is being triggered. We are still getting false positives and have been able to replicate triggering the anti cheat without using an edge or a zero axis mouse etc.

OK then I'm, assuming that I had a false positive as I know I had a decent swing and I'm not cheating. I'll repost that #5 button in a new thread.

I have the same mouse and so far things look ok except for one swing where the ball should have gone right but went left. I did not hit f8 as I did not know this issue had arisen.

I have a Logitech G502 and a Corsair M65 and use the M65 right now as I love the feel of it. I really have never used a cheap mouse and for a long time used a Microsoft higher end wired mouse for Links when I was a 3C player. Didn't know that about the lower end mice but now I do but to be honest up till a few months ago I didn't know there was such a thing as a non axis controller. I try to buy a little better product with the hope that it will perform better and last longer but that's know different than real golf where the more you spend on equipment the better it usually performs. Good inf and thanks for sharing.

I really don't think that is what is being implied. Look it only makes sense that a higher quality gaming mouse is going to be more sensitive than a cheaper one but again I myself have never used a cheap mouse.

Right about if you go too low on the swing you get a bad hit. Tried it out and kept slicing. My problems were hooks, not these going to low slices. Tried the F8 but need a lesson on how to read it. How does it tell you you cheated for one. Whatever ...

Trying to control or eliminate cheating in a video game is like trying to control or eliminate prostitution. Good luck, when you find the solution make sure you patent or copyright it because it will be worth billions, if not trillions.

the moment you need a special mouse or whatever special controller, the game witll kill itself.

i always played with a cheap mouse, why not, they function perfect anywhere else.

but since my hands are not very stable, i havnet seen any strange shots sofar.

i really really do wonder about all of this.

a pefrect anticheat mechanism cannot be made, its a waste of valuable time, just my opinion.

Do you play RTSM or MS? To me, using a normal mouse is akin to a baseball player using a wooden dowel instead of a baseball bat.

For 3C, the most basic of mice is fine. But for any of the motion based swings, you really do need a decent mouse.

The biggest reason I got one is because I am used to having a super fast mouse speed for normal use but this makes playing PG nearly impossible. A decent gaming mouse allows me to toggle the speed on the fly.
