Go to this folder in Unity: Assets > Standard Assets > Environment > Water > Water4 > Prefabs

Then drag the prefab MJOceanWater into your scene and move it up or down accordingly...

My guess would be that it's either quite a bit above or below your terrain... Try double clicking on the mjwater object in your hierarchy. That should move your view to it.

Should the pink prefab be covering the whole plot of land?

Pink colour is Unity telling you that it can't find the material associated with a specific mesh object. Look for a folder inside the water asset that says "Material". If there is something in it, grab it with your cursor and drag it onto the pink water plane in your scene.

Unity 101 - objects and materials. Harrumph!

Piece of art Gary! You really have eye for colours, shapes and textures. Everything looks good and real. No popping up ultra colourful plants that don't fit to the ground and that kind of stuff. Just amazing!

Can't wait :P

The first of my videos is up.  This one is an early look at the course.  I plan to add more focusing on the design process.

Magnificent! You're a JNPG-magician, sir. Funnily though I think rugged Sand Hills styled bunkers would fit even better with the style of the course but the pot bunkers are great as well of course.

Gary

that is such a fantastic land plot you have designed- did you do it from scratch or is it based on somewhere? I have played a large number of links and coastal courses in real life and am getting certain looks of them that I have played- absolute amazing work.

This is just exactly the type of course that I am desperate to both play and to attempt to design in the future- work has got me in knots at the minute so I haven't even been able to look at CF yet!

It is not just a great looking plot it looks so authentic and gives a feel of it being real- I find a major problem with cyber golf is that the fictional courses are too fictional and wouldn't be able to be created in the real world- but that is just my opinion- unimportant as it is

Great video and looking forward to future releases

As good as this course looks now, I get cold chills when I think about how good it will look with 3-D rough!  B)

I used the plot that came with the demo version of CF.  The course is not based on anywhere particular, I just make it up as I go along...

Gary

You certainly have a very good eye for design then!

Is that plot still available as it would give a good starting point to others?

It comes with the CF 1.5 package.  I can send you the terrain with my elevation work up to now if you like?

It is explained how to load it in Mike's CF Tutorials thread.

http://www.perfectparallel.com/topic/6902-courseforge-video-tutorials/?p=112004

Anybody new to Unity and CF would be well advised to put aside a bit of time and watch through Mike's tutorials as it will help loads in the long run.
