I try to check in with PP as Xbx1 option every month or so. Anyone in the community have any kind of prediction as to when it becomes a reality?
I won't call it much of an educated prediction, but if I had to guess, I'd say April, 2017

Armand, did you ever try Links 2004 on the XBox? That's the game that changed my mind about what a controller can do in a golf game. When you got the swing tempo right in that game, you could feel it in your fingers and see it in the result. I can see where the mouse swing interface has more variables than the controller, but for me what it lacks is the tactile resistance of a thumbstick. That added kinesthetic dimension the controller affords offsets the extra vectors the mouse swing in my experience.
I realize we're wired differently and looking for different things in the way we play the game. I'm just glad we've got the options we do in JNPG to cater to those desires.
No, I never saw Links 2004, let alone play it. The controller I bought/used with Windows 10 (Wireless XBoxOne) was almost my very first experience with a controller. I played about 3 holes of TW 13 (I think) on Wii, but I've never had a gaming console, so I've never really used a controller. I will likely give it another go at some point, but just not sure when. I memory serves, I felt it was "too straight" (I couldn't hit it more than about 30° offline) and the putting distance was very difficult with no feel for me.

If it was made possible I would design on my PC buy play mostly on the PS4. A console is more convenient and more social and mine sits under my TV in my lounge making gaming more confortable too.

It doesn't really matter if any of the current hard core PC users here would buy a console version of PG, but it would open up the game to the large majority of gamers that don't own a PC but do own a console.
From what I've seen, a lot of people own a PC, but not one that would do a decent job of running JNPG. I know so many people who buy PCs (mostly laptops) with no intention of gaming on them, other than an occasionsal game of solitaire or ma jongg. The data that I've been able to collect and get ballpark tacit confirmation on suggests that ~70 - 75% of The Golf Club's sales on on the consoles. I don't think JNPG is going to stack up quite that heavy in the proportion of console sales, but I still think the XBox One and PS4 versions colllectively will constitute the majority of JNPG sales... well, at least if JNPG will be able to perform and look as good as it presently does on a mid-scale gaming PC. I think between DirectX 12, Windows 10, SpeedTree GPU Instancing in Unity 5.5, and hi-res mo-capped golfers, the console versions have a chance to be more impressive than a lot of PC gamers realize.

I think since tablets made their appearance fewer and fewer people now use their PCs and have no need to continually update them, unless they are games players.

VR and 60fps are the only reasons I'm buying a new PC next year.

The amount of fun I've had with VR titles has surprised me. I've love to see JNPG take a shot at VR. So far TGC VR has been a boatload of fun!!

I'm scared to try VR for fear that I will like it. I don't think my Geforce GTX 1060 and i5-4440 would be enough to drive it properly, and I don't know that my room space could be rearranged to accommodate it. Then there's the problem of justifying an $800 outlay to a wife that already says I spend too much time with my gaming hobby

I think the fact that people sit close to a PC monitor and back from a TV linked to a console has a negating effect on screen resolution which them look similar at their respective viewing distances.

True Ian, if I wasn't playing golf and racing games on my PC right now, I'd be pefectly content with my $300 laptop I bought back in 2010, on which I'm composing this reply,
