Same project on more than one computer?

Best Answer Mike Jones , 25 October 2016 - 01:59 PM

If you create a unity package of the project and install it onto another machine you should be able to work on it on both machines. What you need to do is when you have finished working on something on your course is save both the scene and terrain file and either stick them on the cloud or a USB drive and then you can transfer them between computers.

When you want to work on the course you will have to load the latest version of the saved terrain first and then load the scene and it should have all your changes from the other PC/MAC.

Is it possible to work on a project on more than one computer- assuming all the same installs/ Unity etc are on both machines?

Also, if so, would it be possible to use both a PC and Mac for the same project or is that just not possible?

I am wanting to start dabbling with CF but currently have my time split between my home with an iMac and my office with its hefty pc- most time spent there is work based but would be able to do some stuff

Thanks for any help or advice

Hehe yeah, the definitions of projects, terrain, scene, meshes etc are important and are all explained in the tutorials.
