Best Answer Jim Boags , 31 October 2016 - 09:50 AM

Thanks all for your help. Problem solved. As clubcaptain pointed out, I too have only ever had the one account but there IS some confusion between Steam name and account name.

Thanks guys for your help but something to remember for the future.

Am I doing something wrong here.

I 'log in' to the social site, I go to game tools, I hit Course Forge and get hit with the message 'For Perfect Golf owners only'. But not only that, when I hit the MOP editor beside CF I get the same thing.

Any clue

Make sure you are logging in to the social site using the Steam account that you purchased PG with.

Thanks Armand for your reply.

I have never changed username/password in Steam or PG. They have always been the same. What concerns me is that I have been in the MOP editor just 3 or 4 weeks ago. Also when the Speed Tree tutorial came out I went in there. I went to as far as 'Get Speed Tree coupons' and decided to NOT push the button as at the time I was heavily digesting CF and didn't want anything extra on my plate.

I'm just unsure as to why it let me in a few weeks ago but won't now.

Whenever this issue has arisen in the past it's because the person having the issue had multiple steam accounts and was logging in with the wrong one. It's a steam issue and nothing we can do. A mail to steam to clarify your accounts might be a good idea.

When it happened to me I only had one steam account and have only ever had one steam account. Within the steam system there seems to sometimes be confusion between the account name and the steam name if they are different.

When I purchased Muirfield Village i had to use the account name. When I obtained the speedtree coupon I had to use my steam name.

Additionally, I nirmally use Chrome for all my browsing. Sometimes steam is happier if you use Firefox.

I use Firefox and even though I've used the coupon to get the SpeedTrees, I'm still able to see the coupon code for it.  I have Steam running, I guess (the icon sits in the notification area), and when I click the login button on the social site, it already have my name/account in the login - I just click to continue and I'm all set.

I hope you can get it work, Jim.
