Larry, couple of things:
1. I strongly recommend that you correct the Fresnel value on your Fairway fringe. From your screen images it looks like it is set to the old default 0.25, which is way too bright and results in "neon fringes" that stand out from the other meshes. Turn it down to 0 or .001 to get rid of it.
2. Thank you for using my Aroha palm trees. Whether they'll pass muster and make it into the final version remains to be seen, yet their trunks look too bright, if I remember correctly - it seems as if the normal map of the trunk material is missing. If so, find it buried somewhere deep down in the Speedtree folders and set it to "normal map" in the inspector.
Best wishes for your current project - you've been sitting on the fence for three years now, nice to see you dipping in a toe - it will take a lot of patience and resolve to finish what you've started. And an even temper, too, so don't throw another tantrum whenever new problems appear. They will, know that, but they can be made to go away. You're on the way now, enjoy the journey - it's a darn good one!
