Has been coming for awhile, but that doesn't make it any less sad. If golf architecture had a Mt Rushmore I think he'd be on it. At the very least would be in the conversation.
I only wish I'd been able to meet him, because everyone who did has some great story or bit of wisdom they gained from it.

I met him and Alice at Sawgrass in 2015, they insisted that the sign my TPC Flag and posed for photos . Lovely couple, RIP to them both. I also met Arnie that same trip at Bay Hill. Good times.

I've always enjoyed when the Tour players were "frustrated" by some of his courses.....must have been a genius!
