In 99.99% of cases, this forum is the most mature and well debated forum I've been part of....and as I've said before, that's pretty impressive for the vast majority (judging by the age thread) of us big kids still playing 'puter games!

Lets see that continue.

I agree and it's great to know that AJ will step in if it ever gets out of control. It's just that some people have a really tough time stopping their old forum habits.

Maybe this is a silly suggestion, but from what I understand this game will be using the Unity-player, right? Since I do not know a lot about programming and different types of code I will just take a wild guess and assume that the program-language will be somewhat similar to other Unity-based games. If so, would it help  PP/PG and the development of this game if they used their dead, also Unity-based, rival TW12 Masters to get a beta-testing headstart of clubs, balls and/or clothes?

Since many of the former TWO-players here own a copy of TW12, it would at least be a test if the new equipment works in a Unity-environment, plus it would be nice to see all the screencaps of stuff with the PP/PG-logo on it.

Just a thought that popped into my head.

Or maybe I'm just completely clueless, as usual...

Just from watching the video, this game in progress is going to blow TW away.

If the actual game is going to look like the video and gameplay is even close to TW08 or TWO, we will have our new PC golf game.

I am excited and look forward to it's release

ok, this is going to serve as a final warning to all parties.  I have deleted a bunch of posts in here.  LeeRay, your original post as I read it basically was argumentative, instead of implying anyone who does not have a small primary drive and a large secondary drive is stupid was tempting the others to come after you.  All you had to say was something like "These days I prefer to keep a small hard drive for my operating system and have a larger drive for data storage."

As to all the replies complaining that Lee's post added nothing to the original discussion how do your replies add to the discussion... They dont.  So I deleted those as well

I am going to say this one more time.  If you dont like a post report it, and if we agree we will delete it.  Do not reply and start an argument.  Do not engage each other in nasty PMs on this site either.

Please keep these forums relevant and friendly.

Also, without appearing to be a creep, the less time the likes of AJ have to spend policing these forums, the more time he can spend developing the game. I think we have been given the policy, lets enforce it.

Perhaps AJ should put this up as a sticky.

OK - I got it AJ.  Can someone tell me how to block anything and everything that a member who I don't like, respect or believe, posts comments.  I don't need to see this stupidity any longer.

Can't you just ask the question without the commentary that risks sending this thread down the garden path again?

This applies to just a small group of people at the moment Dave, but I do agree that AJ has much better things to do with his time then police this forum.  The need for a pinned topic or even a forum pop-up with a huge warning telling members to keep things civil, fun and respectful (words to that effect) is a good suggestion as well. You can bet when the forum is filled with thousands of members the warning points will begin to accumulate very quickly. (sad to say this is inevitable)

AJ's request to Report Offensive Posts is the best way to give him and any other moderator a direct link to a thread. This allows moderators to simply check messages not have to spend any time roaming in the forum.

I can't wait, no golf now is killin me ... I hope it brings the pc golfin peeps back together again, I think it will. Man back in the days it was fun, everyone got along for most part and it was just plain fun, the wait is killin me, lol. But I'll wait patiently and twiddle my thumbs. Golf withdrawls really suck, tryin to curb the cravings with MLB 2K12 for now.  Hey is there any chance they might release a DEMO, say 3 holes or whatever so we can get a peek before release to see swings and just get aquainted with stuff in general?  Would be nice .... ?

I think any form of playable game demo may be a while yet.

They have hinted that the ball flight physics are more or less down pat, and they are now working on the ground physics (this I guess being how ball reacts when landing on various surfaces, and also who the shots react when played from different surfaces).

They haven't started on method's of play and scoring elements in the game, so I think it's a 'watch this space'.

;)
