I think there pretty close in difficulty but 3 click is more definitive as to where you need to click to get a good shot. I think MS is a little more subjective and elusive. You just don't know what you hit until you see it move through the air. I do think MS has the advantage on the greens putting though. Of course this depends on timing for either type of play and some just have better timing and play better either way. I just feel more relaxed playing MS. Side note rough and sand should be a 85-93% or varied penalty instead of a definitive 90% or 85%.  Just no real penalty for missing fairways or greens, unless you cant multiply or divide.

Hittem str8!  :)

My holy grail in Links was -10 (hit -9 a few times); atm in PG I'd be happy with -1 up to +5!  I play mod/mod, no BLI and rarely use the grid.  Birdies are possible, pars are what to aim for, bogeys and worse are always threatening.  Seems about right.

3 click off off off is by no means too easy.

Really they are both pretty much the same , having used both methods its all about timing , should it be clicking 3 times or using motion swing it all comes down to practice and timing. Once you have the timing right for the 3 click then your going to be close on most occasions and the same applies to the motion swing its as simple as timing. The fact that you can play with min / no assists makes the game extremely tough for even the best 3  clicker / motion swing players to complete a round and you wont see many low 60 scorecards with the assists off that's for sure.

I agree that 3C with no assists is not easy... at all.  However, I feel that 3C is much easier than MS.  In 3C you really just have a two things to focus on - backswing length and hitting the snap.  In MS you have to worry about backswing length, tempo, and swing path.

I personally like MS much better.  You can't hit a power fade in 3C like you can in MS.  And I mean without using the shot shaper.

I actually find barely missing the snap on min min or no no is a bit harsh. In real golf a very slight open or closed face will not get you into trouble unless you are aimed at one side of the fw or green, still you usually will end up in the short grass. With a miniscule miss of the snap and you can easily end up in the deeper stuff in PP.

So to answer the question is 3c too easy? Not in my opinion is it anyways.

I play 3C mod/mod as well and my scores hover in that same range.  I do use the grid, however.  3C is definitely NOT too easy from where I am sitting.

Don't get me wrong, when I say that No Aids 3 click is "hard as hell" I love it that way and wouldn't want it any other way..

You wouldnt want to master the NO Aids level to quickly or the game would be boring.. I'm a long way from that lol..

I wholeheartedly agree.  The Off Off mode should be hard as hell.  If I play an off off Motion Swing round, several times a round I'll get the 'ole "golfer surprise" when I look up at my shot and see it go straight :)  In solo play, I usually play Min Min or Mod Mod MS, but if I wanna beat up somebody in the Lobby, I switch to Max Max Motion Swing and start throwing darts :)

3 click max aids is too easy, much more so than ms max aids IMO, and unfortunately the majority of people I've played online use 3 click max aids.

I usually play MIN/MIN. When playing online, I also see most playing MAX/MAX. Since I'm playing only for enjoyment at this point, not tournament competitive play, I really don't care. I think that the reason many play online at MAX/MAX is because they just want a casual enjoyable round and aren't necessarily playing for 'blood'.

The larger problem is that there's virtually no penalty for spraying the ball into bunkers and the rough. The first couple difficulty settings seem fine to me, but let's face it, after playing for a period of time it's unusual to miss snap by more than 2 or 3 degrees. Yes, that sometimes can make the difference as to whether your in the fairway or the rough. But so what! Take an extra club and you're fine. Until there's more penalty for being off the short stuff the difficulty you're playing at makes little to no difference. Yes, I understand my answer could also apply to motion swing but I'm just responding from a clickers perspective. As things are now I neither go particularly high or low. The putting makes the overall game hard enough that I never shoot lights out but at the same time the game itself doesn't play hard enough for me to go high either. ;) Sometimes that can get a little boring for me. Either toughen up the penalty for hitting into hazards or toughen up the last two difficulty settings. Preferably both. :)

Answer:  Play with no-aids, all the time.

Let's just say a suggestion I read a long time ago was actually acted on.

Make 3click the only swing method for this game - all things become equal.

There will never be equality between MS and 3C.

Links first arrived on the market with just a circular meter back in the early 1990's---everyone and I mean everyone loved it.

Would having a golf game with just a 3click meter KILL the game for Motion Swingers?  Definitely not, they would adapt and very, very quickly.  Would PP/PG lose a few players. Absolutely!  Maybe 3 would stop cold in their tracks.

Would the elimination of 3clicking KILL this game? Absolutely!  The Golf Club and three others stopped me cold when I discovered there was no circular meter.  I went right back to Links 2003 and Tiger Woods PC 2008---never looked back.

3C
Everyone can play more freely anywhere they like. No worries about a flat surface to slide a mouse on.  Play the game in their lap with a cordless mouse on their leg (or the person's leg next to you  ;)) on the subway. So many ways to justify a solid PC Golf game with just a 3click meter. Just is....

Same discussion since...lightyears :D

Look at the scores in the tournaments. After that, tell me that 3c is an advantage. From a learning point I agree, 3c is way easier to learn than MS but once you know what to do, I don't see any big differences in the swing types.

And just like lightyears before, I still get my butt kicked from alot of MS players. And I'm still not the worse clicker out there.

I really don't know why this discussion pops up every 2 months.

Who cares...

When I saw the title "is three click too easy" I confess I didn't see it as a 3 click compared to other swing methods argument. Thought it was just asking clickers whether they like the difficulty of their preferred play style. In hindsight I may have been a little naive. It's always an argument on whether 3 click is easier. ;)

So why do you chime in every two months?  rofl     Especially if "nothing" matters to you in terms of change.

sometimes the meter goes quick coming down another time it stutters nothing easy about that that.   When you do hit the snap on the tee you find the ball veers of to the right ( don't say its the wind) .
