I looked on National Maps and Earth Explorer and both have big sections of data missing.... Which looks intentional
It's golf's equivalent of Area 51!

Bwahahaha! An awful, beautiful shame. It be a shame if Mike's computer had a little "data leak" and somehow that file snuck out...

Personally I'm in no hurry to play Augusta again as its not my favourite course, but I know a lot of people would like to see it.

Perhaps a leaked file entitled "Southern Surprise"? :-)

Augusta would be great. I'm a GC2 (Simulation player) and this platform is FANTASTIC for use to use our real clubs and play indoor on some fabulous golf courses.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the work that the designers put into these courses so we can play them and better compete on them,

So where do we get the 1m Lidar? I'd love to have a crack that's for sure.
Yep did that as well. Surely they can't control publicly released data. Although.......
The availability of the source data would be controlled by whoever gathered it. And if that was a public entity then they can limit use rights and whether there is a cost associated with securing the data.
The city of Augusta has the data available for purchase, as long as the party supplies the transfer media.

I might have just found the height data.
Stay tuned just got to get it into unity and I'm away.
Oh and I'd better finish Merion first.
I'm very much looking forward to East Merion. I saw the screenshots that you posted some time back and then compared it to Goggle Earth and it looks just like the real thing. I prefer re-creations of real courses or courses that look real.

I now have the data imported into unity which I assume was the same 1m data used by PG. it's very detailed and accurate so I will be making a start on the course soon.
Just curious, where did you pull the 1m data from?
