Just saw this and wondering if the ball on top of a ball on the tee box had been fixed?  Thanks.

I don't want to jinx anything here, but in one of the many multiplayer tests I was involved in last week, was this 4 man Greensome Skins match with the host in the UK on a fairly crappy connection, the rest of us all here in the States.  Our pings to the host remained in the 100ms to 160ms range the entire game.  We had one minor little ball flight stutter one on approach shot on the ninth.  I had to be told about it, cause I, quite frankly, didn't see it.  I think this update is pretty rock solid.

Yeah I just played someone from the UK and the pings were in the same ballpark.  Happy with the update so far.  Nice to see the ability to move your position on the tee box being added.

For the record, I might be the first person in the Perfect Golf world to buy some Perfect Golf DLC.  I bought the OnCore Avant Ball last night via the Pro Shop, when it was made availabe for purchase in the Beta version.  I did it just to see if it would work, but it's a cool looking ball and it reportedly is a little easier to hit straight (which I need a lot of help with as an RTS-C player), at the cost of some distance loss.  I also did it just to test that it would work, but it might turn out to ultimately be one of the most superfluous purchases I've ever made ^_^

I made a short lived thread last week which included a tidbit on the OnCore partnership.  Hopefully the other partnership I mentioned in the thread will become reality as well. :D

Great idea to have option to use the old swing meter as an option  - smart move there for sure

I have converted to controller  now and loving it even though my scores are nothing like  3 click i love the more realistic feel

drives are good, short game and putting are a real challenge  but love it, i use xbox controller and left stick

Well done on the other Latest updates too

Thank you

Played two rounds and great update. Bought the ball and as far as I know I didn't use it but just the chance to buy something was to much to resist. This game just keeps getting better.

pingzing2 what Xbox controller are you using? I use the Xbox One controller. Also, what level do you normally play on. I'm just curious because I find that when I switch to the left stick I'm getting incorrect readings and sensitivity when swinging with the left stick. Same thing with the infamous Logitech F310 controller. I play stock Pro difficulty with the Xbox One controller with the right stick because the game is not reading the left stick correctly with either of the controllers I have tried (Xbox One and Logitech F310). The Logitech F310 with the right stick hits it on plane just about every time, so I use the Xbox One as there is some variation and the game seems to be reading that format correctly. I like all the other controller improvements but there is still some work to do with the Xbox One left stick from what I can tell. I'm going to make sure I have the latest driver and see if re-calibrating or some property changes might help before I report the issue as a bug. Good to see you around here too.

Played part of a round and have a couple of questions.  I can only set the tree quality to a max of 3 now whereas before the update I think it was 5 or 6?

Secondly when I hit the spacebar the golfer did not disappear.  I checked the controls under settings and it no longer shows this option so I am guessing the intent was to delete it.  It was useful when trying to determine breaks because the golfer sometimes blocked seeing the hole.  It was also good because I could take a screenshot without the golfer in the picture.

Finally I understand that the ball on top of a ball bug in multiplayer when your playing partner adjusted his aim has not been fixed so hopefully that will be.

Thanks for the update and will trying some multiplayer when there are more than two players.

Absolutely love the new swing meter. Great color combinations.

Only thing left to do is make it movable and it will be perfect!

Also like being able to move ball on the tee. Great job!

You CAN, See below

We are pleased to announce the latest release of Perfect Golf 1.3.9.4 which will be released later today...(Sun)

This build is a major upgrade on 1.3.9.3 dispite the minor increment since we are reserving 1.4.0.0 for our release version.  In this build

New Features

Added selectable Golf Balls to the Store / Player Configurator
Added a new default Swing Meter with a fill rather than an arrow to eliminate the stuttering caused on some machines. We left the old swing meter in there for those who prefer it.  IT is selectable in the same device location and is called Swing Meter Pointer
All new controller integration to allow for better control with the controller
Added support for inviting friends in pre game from the controller.  This can be done by selecting them from the player slots or by navigating to the Friends Tab.  Use X button to Toggle between Chat area and rest.
Added move ball on Tee - Move mouse over ball position and cursor will change click where you want the ball moved too.  Clicking in front of the tee box will not move the ball.  For the controller use Left Trigger in Dpad Up to swap between move ball mode and aim stick when on tee.  Once in move ball mode depress left stick (RH Mode) to activate the ball and use stick to move ball around.  Press A to complete
Added new check on joining online game to make sure users have the same course file
Added new check on tournaments to make sure the course version is correct version for that tournament

Performance Improvements

Reduced the size of the network packets being transferred by about 0.3Gig per player in an 18 hole match
Reduced the size of the game files from 755Meg to around 450 Meg.  Hopefulyl without changing anything from the user end.  We hope this will help with performance.
Reduced: Memory footprint of the course slider by 300MB
Reduced Audio Memory Footprint by 20MB
Removed News download while in game
Increased Network timeout to assist with loading on slow machines avoiding disconnect from host

SkyTrak Integration Improvements

Reduced number of false shot detections
Reduced requirement to rearm a lot of the time
Added .Net 4.5 to support Skytrak app (will not work on XP)
Added support for Handedness in game to skytrak

Bug Fixes

Fixed Score Reporting Multiplayer issue where host would not report his score
Fixed: PROS not resetting when changing shot type
Fixed: Motion Swing / Swing Meter Help Screens
Fixed:  Carousel going through all the course to get one step back
Added: 15 second auto refresh on leaderboard while active to remove any unknown names

As someone mentioned above pressing spacebar to hide the golfer when lining up shots no longer works.

Hope it can be fixed soon because that was useful.

The hide golfer function was taken out since you can use the F5 cam to see around the ani.  It was causing more issues than it was worth.

Not happy about that ! The ani often blocks your view from the flag when you're on a steep slope on or off the green. If I move the ani to the side to see then I won't be able to line up the shot from right behind the ball or I'll have to exit F5 after I look and guess.

I agree. The whole point of hiding the Ani was to line up your putt when the ani is blocking the hole. You can't aim if you move the camera off line!! SMH?

Yes, I'm not happy about that either. As Mebby says using F5 is not a substitute. Exactly what "issues" were causing a problem ?               Was there much thought given to it ?

Not to pile on, especially as I won't get to try the update for a few days, but not being able to hide the avatar is a definite step backwards.

And as others have already mentioned, FreeCam and other views really aren't a substitute at all for the view right behind the ball, but with no avatar blocking the way.

Is there perhaps a semi transparent avatar or something in the works instead?
Something else?

Thanks for the response...I am enjoying myself. Just applied for the OGT RTSC tour. I'll have to send you a STEAM invite. I clean my list up a little bit and you were removed because of the time zone differences. But heck you've always been so gracious and who knows maybe we'll get a chance to play some rounds together. Hope your doing well in Australia. Hopefully I'll get to visit one day. Cheers!
