I'm curious to learn how many forum participants or lurkers we may have here who may be holding out waiting for a console version of Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf to hit the market.  I have the PC version of JNPG, but I'm the type who would likely double dip with an XBox One version of the game as well.  If you vote, please post your thoughts on your choice.

On another note, I've added an option to allow console owners who have no interest in buying the console version to express their position.  That's just as much of a choice as which console version to buy in my estimation.  Please feel free to vote that option if you feel inclined.  It'll tell us a little more about the landscape of the market as it applies to JNPG.

Can you make it a multiple selection?

I'd be down for either XB or PS

I think it was able to do it, go back and check it now.

Yeah, that's what I play 90% of the time on my XBox One now... incredible game!

Cool.  Do you use a wheel/pedal?  I'm considering the Logitech G920.  Pricey though.

Yeah, I've got the Logitech G920.  It's decent but I don't like the helical gear drive versus the belt drive of my Fanatec Porsche GT2 wheel.  It sort of has a gritty feel to it.  Secondly, mine broke and wouldn't turn left.  I came to find out that it was because a wire had broken in the molex interconnecting cable between the wheel hub and the base.   I found out it was a fairly common problem with the early versions.  I repaired it myself rather than run the risk of getting a replacement wheel that was going to do the same thing.  It was a whole lot of trouble and I wouldn't go through it again.

If I was going to buy a wheel now, I'd go with the Thrustmaster TX.  It's belt drive and you can get it with a leather wheel, for about $450.  I hear that the Thrusmaster TMX Force Feedback wheel isn't bad, although pedals leave a bit to be desired, for $200.  You could always upgrade the pedals later to the T3PA for $100, and have a lot better setup.

In what way inferior? When I run a PS4 game on my high resolution TV it looks very almost as good as a PC plus you have the advantage of convenience and compatability. Another aspect is the fact that a console will cost £200-£300 whereas a good PC capable of running PG at a reasonable resolution will set you back the best part of £1000.

Well, to be fair, if you put the same amount of money in a PC that you did a PS4 or XBox One, you'd have a computer that would struggle to play Minecraft.  I've got $825 in my gaming PC, and yes, it easily outperforms my XBox One and PS4.  I have all three versions of The Golf Club, yet I mostly play the PC version because it looks and performs like a different game, IMO.

I still think you get more gaming  bang for your buck with a console though.  The only reason I'd get the XBox One version of JNPG would be to enable me to play with some of my XBox One friends, who have no desire to do PC gaming.

I can't play Driveclub or Uncharted series on my PC, lol. I like my PS4, just won't be used for JNPG.

Thanks for that info.

Check out the video reviews of all these wheels at Inside SimRacing.  They are very informative and ISR winds up giving the nod to the Thrustmaster TX, even over the Fanatec CSL.

I should have made a slot for those who have a console, yet wouldn't buy JNPG to play on it.  I'll see if I can't add that in... thanks for weighing in with that Daz!

I would like to see a game console match my computer.  I say inferior because they are inferior.  One has to spend the bucks if one wants the best graphics and I want the best.  Consoles cannot cut it.

I'm tempted to buy that for my PC.  It looks like my kind of racing sim!

True.  But I won't be forced into buying a console to get any game.  All should be on pc.
