I'm tempted to buy that for my PC.  It looks like my kind of racing sim!

I have the G27 wheel and can say after playing Project Cars, iracing and rFactor2 that Assetto Corsa wins hand down in realism and force feedback feel.  The game is fully moddable and I have tons of great cars and tracks.  I bought it in EA.

Assetto Corsa + Thrustmaster TX458 wheel + GT Omega Racing Seat + Oculus Rift = Driving bliss!

PC for me. I have an Xbox one but rarely use it. I bought Fifa 17 on PC for the first time this year. No interest in PG for console personally.

I did and ironically, Forza 6 runs better on the XBox One.  APEX looks great, actually better on my PC at the details levels at which I'm able to run it, but it stutters at inconsistent intervals and just doesn't feel as tight with the steering wheel control.  It's still a work in progress and will no doubt get better, but it just goes to show how well programmed the XBox One version is...

You dawg!  How long have you had the TX458?  I was down to it or the Logitech G920, but I didn't go for it because at that time, the TX458 was having a high incidence of burning up the motor and/or power supply.  I liked what I'd read about its performance though, and I'm sure I would like its belt drive versus the helical gear drive of the G920.

Yeah, a bit ironic isn't?  But oh once you see how the driving experience comes alive and awakens sensory levels you didn't know you had, you consider it money well spent! :)

True.  But I won't be forced into buying a console to get any game.  All should be on pc.

I was... XBox One for Forza 6, but I'm weak-willed  ;)

Yeah, driving with a teeny tiny stick sucks.  I use a $100 Logitech MOMO on the PC.  Works great, but XBox won't write a driver for it on Xbox.

iRacing, Assetto Corsa, PCARS, Automobellista, RRRE, Dirt Rally, DriveClub all the way for me. Oh, and not forgetting Trackmania Turbo for some proper arcade racing.

I have the above on * PC only  * PC and PS4  * PS4 only

:D

About three years by now. I bought it for Forza on my Xbox one originally but then I got into PC gaming. The feel of Assetto Corsa is something quite magical. They recently got the Porsche licence. Porsche use Assetto Corsa rigs in their show rooms for driving experiences. Every single car feels truly unique. And the mods...man...there's so much useful stuff available from some incredible apps (there's one called Crew Chief that you can talk to and ask it questions as you race and it will tell you things like gap in front/behind whose leading, fastest lap, track temperature, fuel remaining etc. It even calls me Rob and if you want you can have it swear at you if you make mistakes lol) and tracks and even some awesome weather mods by this cool but crazy guy who is obsessed with making the perfect cloudscapes and natural looking skies. You couldn't do all that on a console. Oh and yes, my wife left me lol.

The wheel feels great to me but not had anything else to compare it to. I have a shifter and pedals with clutch too.

The only reason I'd get the XBox One version of JNPG would be to enable me to play with some of my XBox One friends, who have no desire to do PC gaming.

What about your PS4 friends?  <_<  ;)  :D

Well, if I went threezees on The Golf Club, to cover all platforms, who's to say I wouldn't do it on the PS4?  We've already had 4 PS4 owners register their support in this 12 response poll, so who knows?  ;)

For whatever reason, I never got into the offroad racing games... even the ones that were well done.  I can't explain it.  I may give this one a go just to see if it shifts the tide - can't beat the price!

Thanks for that complete report Robbie.  If I could have held on for 2 more months, I could have bought the Thrustmater TX base, outfitted it with the Leather 28 GT Wheel, for ~$400.   Then I could have used my Fanatec Clubsport Elite pedals with it, via the $50 Basher board adapter, and I would be in driving Heaven right now.  This wheel works for both the PC and the XBox One, as does my Logitech G920, but in all honesty, the 920 is but a mere pimple on the underarm of what the Thrustmaster rig would be like.... (sigh).

I have a MOMO for my PC and I'm amazed that it still works and it's still a viable option.  I keep my Logitech G920 hooked up to my Playseat Evolution cockpit because it works with the XBox One (for Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 2) and the PC.  If Microsoft were to ever provide a driver that supported the MOMO on the XBox One; I have no doubt which wheel would be bolted up to my racing cockpit.  This just goes to show again just how strong a grip that Forza 6 has on my nards!

I don't own any of these consoles and won't be buying them.  All of the games I like are already on PC.  I don't see the need to double dip if you already have a capable PC.  It's very easy to hook up a PC to an HDTV nowadays (with wireless mice/keyboards/gamepads) and get the best of both worlds.  The console version release is probably a ways off anyway and who knows  if/how it will support community created course downloads.
