Ive seen the ball roll off green and accelerate now on a few courses. Bandon Trails and kissing Tree were the latest.

I set up a round with some AI players. When they hit into a greenside bunker, they can't get out, regardless of their ability. Anyone else notice this?

that makes no sense whatsoever axe360.
The ball backspins off the green slowly, hits the fairway and rolls 30 feet on flat ground. how is that like real golf>?
Forgive me klmax. I should have given you some proper advice rather than a joke. However in my defense, I didn't know that had happened to you when I first made the comment but once I did, I should have given you proper advice, like my good friend Daz did.
I use bandicam for video and it also does screenies. When I come across and irregular result, I simply minimize to desktop, fire up Bandicam, go back and hit replay and rec. it.
Also like Daz said, we have the Saved Shot feature too..
Peace

Bill,
Right at the bottom of Andrew's opening post in this thread he states:-
Occasionally a computer player will encounter a situation he is unable to find a shot to play. We have a timer that will reset him to have another attempt which runs after 60 seconds which cures 99% of these problems but there were a couple of occasions where beta testers had to resume in order to get him to hit out of hundreds of rounds played with the AI.
Until the AI can be guaranteed to be able to play every shot, a game resume seems to be the only workaround to force them to play a shot.

Daz,
Thanks for reminding me of Andrew's post. I'd forgotten about it.

I still find that your stroke is way to quickly to reach the expected ratio
Saved shot is great, but don't work on driving range, Sorry you dont have Practice Range or your course file is not the correct version "

Fair enough, Mike.
My problem right now is, that the RTS-M has totally changed. With my normal swing, that i grooved over more than 300 hours i get swings of 2 inside out, 20 mishit heel and a ratio between 0.20 and 0.22. And i wasn't overswinging before on purpose. My normal swing alsways has been between 0.99 and 102% power. Part might be, that the pole isn't visible and moving anymore when swinging. Before the patch i left clicked and hold the left mouse button when swinging. When i did that, the pole was moving towards me. The moving pole probably had no influence to the shot result but now the look is totally different. And still it's baffling to me that i am mishitting the shots in that extreme way.
I haven't had time to play the new build yet .... still wiping tears over the loss of custom off/off difficulty (LOL. j/k, I have only started the game to see what could be changed and found nothing!). Lots of posts in this thread, but I'm torn between reading it all and then playing or vice versa.

Lots of stuttering in multiplayer. Wasn't there when we all played last Fri. had to break up into smaller groups, was still some but not as bad. Issue with group size?

Can someone please help me? When I clicked the Perfect Golf RecordedRounds file to view a saved shot, i tried opening it up with Windows Media Player on Windows 10, but it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." How do I view the saved shot using something else besides Windows Media Player or what are the steps to get my Windows Media Player to view the SHT file?

Thanks for this update.
Puttin from maybe 1-2 feet seems to be very hart now. Several times the balls runs over the hole.
Using an xbox controller it is very difficult to manage short swing.

You have to place the SHT (or RND) file in the proper folder, and then you view it from within the game (under Solo Game). Windows won't know how to play it, as you've found out - it's not a video file.
The folder located alongside the \Courses folder, typically:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\RecordedRounds
I'm surprised no one has mentioned (unless I missed it) the few extra carry yards on the driver and 3W (275 and 250 yds, respectively). I didn't notice the others, but I also switched some clubs around in my bag. The chipping seems much more how I was trying to play the game before. Thumbs up for that, despite what seems a bit much roll sometimes. I think for me, the canned animations, especially on the pitch shot, makes it very difficult to judge.
Also, I miss the bunker shots where I'd aim left, be intentionally slower tempo, and have the ball come out in the direction of the hole. It sort of reminded me of a bit of a lazy/bunker shot that seems prevalent on tour. I guess I'll have to learn to swing a bit quicker on the downswing to get a fat hit, although it seems backwards to me (fat/thin).
Similar to others, I noted the "Anti-cheat" values in the console. I think I saw values of 2, 3, 6, 7, 12, 17.5, 16.5 and while I'd like to know what they are about, as soon as we're told, they'll likely stop showing up there! (a la the "bad swing" time )
My only complaints (and it's unrelated to the 1.4.2.0 build) is that PG takes about 15 seconds to start for me. I think it has to do with my SSD getting full. I was down to 40 out of 250 GB free at one time, and was able to clean up some programs, etc. to get back to about 80 GB free. Now, I'm down to 60 GB free again, and it's slow starting again. I don't know if that is a PG thing (seems odd that it would be) or a Windows 10 thing ... which also seems odd. Anyway, I've been thinking of a getting a bigger or a second SSD.

There is no mention of the change to all the club distances. After over 1000 hours of play I now need to re-map my club distances?????
It also appears that the bunker shots have lost all the dynamics of a full backspin shot. It appears to exit the bunker like an exocet misslie, whats the story with that? I now also have not one, but two wedges, that BOTH pitch to 40 yards, how does that work? Any positive feedback would be welcome as I don't really want to return to WGT.

Yes, the 60W and 64W both pitch to around 40yds carry but the 60 typically rolls out t0 59/60yds while the 64stops around 51 or 52, which makes sense as the 64 will loft high and land softer.

Why do some folks carry both?
I know it is player choice and all that and you can put whichever clubs in your bag, but usually players, even Pro's, plump for one or the other, not usually both. Just curious why in JNPG someone feels the need to have both?
Also I think the club distances were tweaked as they have taken on board more data from other tracking devices, not just Trackman, to get a better overall appreciation for ball flight, so have tweaked the club distances in the game.

A full shot with 60W gives approx 90/100 carry/total, while a 64W gives about 74/80. Omit the 60 and your next club up is a 56 that gives 103/113. That's a huge 33yd 'gap' at the most crucial birdie-chance approach shot range. For me that gap is still too great and I wish there were more wedges! I've dumped my 3 & 4 irons and even the 7 for the sake of this extra wedge. Maybe it's worth more in RTS-M because 3/4 shots, even in the new build, are really difficult to pull off. Doesn't Phil carry 56, 60 and 64 wedges? Good enough for me...
