Any thoughts on using a mouse with TGC2 JCat04 or is a controller the only viable option?

I'm not much of a mouse player anymore remers, although I was really into it up until I played Links 2004 on the original XBox and got hooked on thumbstick control.  I know this, I briefly tried mouse control on TGC 1 and couldn't come close to grasping it.  It didn't feel as well integrated as mouse control in JNPG (which I tried briefly also to have a frame of reference).  I'll give mouse control a go later today in TGC 2 and let you know what I get from it.  Just keep in mind it will be the opinions of someone who's nowhere near being adept at mouse control.

Much appreciated and as a mouse player from days gone by, your opinion would be perfectly relevant and good to hear, thanks.

I too couldn't quite get into the mouse swing in TGC1 so quickly shelved it before moving on to JNPG but with so few dev posts on progress, I'm losing a bit of hope on this side of the fence.

I probably can't say too much about it though due to the NDA, under which I'm bound.  You've got me curious though... I'm away from my gaming computer at the moment, but I'll be on it later today

I think once some of the top designers start releasing courses for TGC2 that the game will look so much better. HB does an ok job with their designs, but there's some really awesome designers at tgctours. Besides, you might be waiting forever for 3d grass for this game.

Disagree.   Andrew already posted that 3D grass was nearly complete.  How and when they choose to roll it out is another matter.

Well Stopits Here, it could be because they are going to have a later stream in which multiplayer will be one of the focus points.

What the hell as stopits here got to do with my post? JE asked us to ask about MP so i did i said please a few times but nothing, i cannot stand ignorant people, they were like 3 little school children laughing and giggling all the time one of the worst streams of a product release i have ever seen, one more thing the other thing i hate are people who can't keep their mouth shut and go squealing the PM i posted to you was just that private, thought better of you as a person.

If you are thinking of getting TGC 2 to play with a mouse then forget it, they hate the thought of adding 3C and their mouse swing was tagged on to try and appease the few, it was terrible...TGC 2 will be no different, and if they have applied a tempo to it then controller players will have a huge advantage because tempo with controller will be mastered quickly.

You didn't like the Stream and others had critical opinions of it as well.  That's fine, you have a right to express your opinion.  LOL... I'd totally forgotten that you PM'd me over a month ago with your real identity, but it doesn't take Dick Tracy to figure out who is behind your posts, both here and elsewhere.  You have a trademark style that's easily recognizable by many.

Okay, I gave mouse control a go and all I can really say within the bounds of the NDA is I find it to be more intuitive and more tightly integrated than mouse control in TGC 1, which I couldn't grasp at all.  Will it win me over from the controller camp?  No, but if you're a die-hard mouser, there may be something here for you, although I'm so unskilled at mouse control now that I'm probably not able to properly assess its potential merits.  I wish I could give you a more definitive answer at this time, but it is what it is.

Then why are you expressing an opinion at all. Geez Louise, just because you can post doesn't mean that you should.

Because remers asked me to, even after I told him in an earlier post that I wasn't.  Once he's read it, I'll remove the post because it probably only has any value to remers.

Dude... leave it up.  Not sure why Richard is upset exactly.  Remers asked you publicly to comment on it so it's completely expected that you'd publicly reply to it.

Stopits or not (or whoever that person is), I have to agree about the feel and professionalism of the stream.

It really felt like some high school seniors were asked to do the stream as a project or something.

I have no idea why they were so giggly and laughing so much.

Yes i bet it's hard for you to use any other device when you have to stop using your Cronus PRO.

Yes complete for what game?  JNPG2/Win10 version?   If so, then I personally can't disagree with Griz's post..

Many chicken littles said the same things about course forge, remember?   i.e. we will be waiting forever, devs don't want to release it, blah, blah........etc......

Bummer..

We really hope to have a new version later this year but I am not going to promise anything as there is a lot to be done.

(emphasis mine)

It's only coming up on the half way point of the year and any major update in 2017 is apparently in question.
Definite drag..

Looks like I better really hope JC & Divot are right and TGC 2 is compelling for more than a couple months.
