I can't believe they didn't fix those horrid bunkers. They look fine from a distance, but they have still have that disconnected look. That space between the rough and bunker edge is the worst graphical glitch in any golf games I've played.

Well - I don't know about that..

When Hacker Harry all of the sudden addresses the ball with one of his legs or arms in reverse it's pretty jarring (and creepy actually)

LOL

@Divot:

If you can say anything while not breaking NDA..

"How happy are you with the physics"?

Yeah, he really should have that wrist checked out. I think he may have sprained it, lol. I still think the bunkers in TGC are worse.

I hate those bunkers too..

May have to swallow it to enjoy the rest of the game if it turns out to be compelling..

I play golf with an over 80 year old (my Uncle) - I'm not sure he'll be alive by the time PG gets another update at this rate..

:-(

Well, I hope your Uncle lives to a 100. We should have 3D grass by then.

Does anyone know if you can draw custom shapes in the designer? That always annoyed me. If the small team from PP can do it in their designer a bigger team should too. I hate how long it took to make a good custom fairway.

HBS said they will be doing another stream showcasing the features and updates to the Course Editor (no longer called GNCD) in the next few weeks.  From some of the other videos released so far for TGC2 it looks like you will be able to draw your own fairways, bunkers, rough, greens, tees using the cart path tool.

Bummer..

(emphasis mine)

It's only coming up on the half way point of the year and any major update in 2017 is apparently in question.
Definite drag..

Looks like I better really hope JC & Divot are right and TGC 2 is compelling for more than a couple months.

Bummer is right. I guess they're not in a position to hire more help to speed up the pace of development. So, it looks like 2018, in all probability.

I am somebody that was excited about PG coming to consoles, but if they are truly this resource stretched, I don't think they should even bother with multiple platforms and they should just focus on Windows so that we might actually get meaningful updates once or twice a year.

I'd even say scrap the Mac version honestly (if it would help) and I'm a complete Mac person…
The reality is the game plays horribly on the Mac compared to the Windows side anyhow.

Those bunkers are pretty bad. I had hoped they would fix those as well as the sharp black line texture transitions.

But as long as the swing is fun I can look past all that stuff.

Here's your answer:   :)

http://www.perfectpa...pdate/?p=138871

"Development is slow because we are a small team. We will be doing a lot of work at The Open Championship and that always eats into game development time. We really hope to have a new version later this year but I am not going to promise anything as there is a lot to be done."

Have to be honest, that is not promising at all... but as I said in the past, some people are in for the long haul while others will move on and then maybe come back when there is an update.   Who knows who will be left by then.

@RobV - Definitely not promising.

Thanks Andrew for being honest at least.

Total bummer.  I guess I was naive thinking this might finally be coming this summer (3d grass and other updates).

Sounds like 2018 sometime realistically (assuming it does happen at some point)

How much more needs to be said about JNPG being a byproduct for PP and not a main source of income.

Since I'm not a gamer, but enjoy computer golf, I, for one, am more than willing to wait for the next PC version of the game. I've no interest in a console version.

If a new PC version with many needed features, i.e. career mode, new avatar, avatar customization, doesn't happen I'll probably be gone. But then again at my age, I may be gone before that new version even appears. :D

No joke man... We can totally lay to rest that discussion anymore.

The "game" of PG is a complete side show and hobby (not a surprise to most of us) and we basically will be fortunate to get any major updates at times when maybe PP has professional down time and might bite off some of the PG game update stuff.

Definitely a drag.

LOL, you guys are really too much. You bitch and moan cause your not getting any updates. They start providing updates, and you bitch and moan some more. It's hilarious. For God's sake, if this game suddenly isn't any fun, move on. Enjoy your life. I had a blast playing online today with some friends. Go play some golf. If you don't like golf anymore, don't blame PG, or TGC (for that matter).

Hello guys here is the video release however i still am waiting for perfect Golf careers and avatar as its more accurate in the physics then TGC2. Does not matter if TG2 has fancy graphics or more custom avatars its all about the golf and ball. Not just that it is way down with its key customization and the different ways of hitting the ball!

I still rather watch this video then TGF2 its get me more engaged! I want realism then arcade or else I will just stick to TGC 1 as it feels so similar and no early access so players can give feedback on what changes need to happen in the game.

If I'm one of the 'guys' you are referring to, you completely have missed my message. I've been around since the beginning and became a beta tester prior to EA. I get the fact that JNPG is not the primary PP product, as I stated in my previous post. Nowhere in my post did I indicate any 'lack of fun' with the current game. I did indicate that there are features that I very much want to be included in any updates. But realizing that the PP business plan does not seem to place JNPG as a primary product offering I indicated my understanding. If you can't take the additional feature timetable, before my demise, as a joke, that's your problem, not mine.

Art, c'mon - be fair..

The "update" that was given is "we hope to update PG this year"...

It's not even June yet and already the entire rest of 2017 is possibly off the table?

No offense friend, but is there any pace of game development that is slow enough for you to acknowledge that it really is taking a while?
