I don't understand the upside to people who are frustrated and express it on the forum, knowing full well, it won't make one damn bit of difference.

Art, I think the hope is one day maybe that might change.

Perhaps that is naive on my part - So be it I guess.

It's a pretty sad state when you have loyal and paying customers, some of which are frustrated, but who want more and will pay for it...

...and the response is "express frustration all you want - nobody at PP cares".

Just sort of a bummer thinking about what this game could grow in to with some more sunshine and watering.

Sorry all this is frustrating to you.  Don't fret - it will all die down before long.

Most of this only sprung up again once Andrew made the "hopefully later this year" comment about the next update.

And not to mention that this is likely one of the few industries where you'd rather have complaining customers than not. A complaining customer is simply someone who appreciates the game but wants to see it pushes forward.

So true...

The worst thing to have is apathy and silence.

It seems like some would prefer if everyone just shut up and went away unless your comment is constrained to a super narrow set of only positive thoughts (or posting YouTube videos apparently).

Might as well close the forum if those are the new rules.

Nothing wrong with constant nudges to the developers on what the community wants to see in a game.

There would not have been any change to the swing in the other game if those looking for more of a challenge in the swing were told to just shut up and accept it for what it is.  ;)

Not all YouTube videos are welcome here.

The one I posted on the Trump Courses thread about Trump Courses was removed.

Hey, I just heard.  PP is hiring 20 devs at $80 grand a pop.  You can start playing the game again.

I know that's being facetious, but can programmers be hired on a contractual basis?  You know, here's $X for 3 months work, sort out the golfer avatars?

Just read the worst excuse ever why TGC2 wont have lobby system.

"HB does not want their users to be forced to pay $50-60/year just to play online from a lobby."

I reckon looking at what TGC2 has, only from a video trailers perspective, they would have been better calling it TGC 1.5.

Apart from minor tweaks to swing, adding societies, small amendments to the course designer, it isn't a massive change for me to TGC, so after TGC got binned from my PC, I would be purchasing TGC2. Just because we like golf, doesn't mean we have to like or purchase every golf game going, no matter how starved we may have been over the years for new IP's over the years on PC.

I already have Everybody's Golf for PS4 on pre-order, as I really like that series. I already have JNPG and still have my Links 2003 CD's lying around somewhere, so I don't need TGC2 to have fun playing virtual golf.

Go the the TGC forum and read the topic: General Golf/Off Topic/Perfect Golf. You see the same type of views about JNPG there as you see about TGC2 here. Not surprising, just the way the world is.

Regarding 'everybody's golf', it's not a PC game as far as I can tell. Also, if you like the cartoon appearance go for it. Neither of those items are for me.

Is that due to costs on their end?

Are the referring to services like PS+ and Xbox Live?

Not sure why you'd be knocking that as an excuse.

Our game here has a lobby system, but apparently very little in the way of a sustaining business model.

HB & Maximum don't have the luxury of running their golf game in that fashion (no side business of TV work - the games are the business)

Yes that's very true and just no need but like you say its the way of the world, everybody's golf is ps4 only, yes it looks childish but has very good gameplay

Hardly a TGC2 hater. I didn't like TGC after purchasing it and don't see the 'improvements' of TGC2 over TGC drawing me back.

I couldn't give a fig for Societies, so won't be messing my pants over that addition. Character customisation is something else I don't really care much for, whilst for some it is seen as a must. While the lighting looks better the overall graphics and textures look the same to me and the designer has seen minor changes to the tools on offer, so yes, to me they are just tweaks.

By all means Mr ProBall , you go and play TGC2 and enjoy it when it gets released. Go mingle with the other TGC2 players on their forums and you won't have to put up with the comments on here, same as I don't frequent the TGC forums as there is nothing there of interest for me.

Tim was putting the cost of xbox live/psn+ as a good reason HBS don't add a lobby, i'm saying Tim is talking BS AGAIN putting his own OP as fact, when will that guy learn.

If those services would be required, that very well could be a good reason not to do it.

I see where Tim is coming from.

the same service that has been around for 9 years which most console gamers already subscribe to,free monthly games and online play,it would hardly be the shock of the century if HB studios said online subscription needed as its the norm for consoles

Got any data for that?
It's possible that HB might have data showing otherwise for their particular user base.
