I probably don't have a powerful enough machine to play it, as my computer is from 2009, but I wanted to have a crack anyway. I pretty much play exclusively on medium; there are a couple I can get away with high, but I can't play anything ultra high as a clicker.... I should probably learn to play with RTS and see if it is better.
I found that the 1st and 3rd holes did slow performance and one or two other spots did as well (maybe #6); sometimes there would be slight delays while the ball was in the air, but at no point did I experience any stuttering with the click meter which is kind of the litmus test for this machine.
I wouldn't ask or expect you to optimize the course any further as you have clearly made every effort to do so... while it is borderline for me, it is absolutely playable. But I don't really play a lot anyway... most of the time I just like to hit F5 and fly over holes and appreciate the texture and design work, which on this course is truly second to none. Textures as well are great, especially tees and fairways.
If I had any other thing to critique, I'd say that a lot of the par four holes felt similar, both in strategy and in appearance. But those are subjective things.
Obviously a lot has been said about the bunker technique; I'm still not quite sure what's been done exactly, but it is a pretty amazing effect. As a fairly prolific (but lazy) designer myself, I'm not convinced that I'd have the focus or patience to take on the amount of extra effort that would be required, but at the same time I am glad to see a designer I always respected on other mediums take some chances and pushing the envelope at bit with what is possible with these tools; many courses I've seen released here lately look like they are unfinished so the experimentation is appreciated.
How'd you get ballwashers with towels that wave in the wind?
