I don't think i could do 10 straight perfect/perfect , There will be shots during a round that are not perfect  it's about playing with tour clubs and hitting and scoring well.  When i first used tour clubs i was so focused on tempo i miss hit quite a few but nailed the tempo, the trick is to forget about tempo, concentrate more on a nice straight fluid up and down and tempo will come naturally more often than not... I'm not doing a full 9 or 18 hole vid but i will do a highlight reel of one round, prob at one of my courses using tour clubs, maybe then you will shut the hell up and go practice some.

Just stream it live.

sted Today, 12:38 AM
Tgc2 my personal view feedback

Just a few things coming to my attention here after playing  several rounds

Server problems are a hassle – I had  same problems with tgc1 as well
Server disconnecting me often when playing with multiplayer and solo as well
very bad organsing on someone parts there- in leadup i did notice they were having problems with the servers
Had to give up many times and go get a drink- very disappointed in this
Cannot play with my mate in multilayer- we get kicked every time- so we give up
Maximum games and pr are very dismal on launch- cannot believe  the laziness and lack of  professional here
Should have had more Beta testers and more brutal honest feedback
Just hope Hb listen dilliigently to fan base and act upon feedback
Limited courses available in offline mode- as per usual - as cannot play online without problems
Not impressed by Player Animation- very lacking in areas
After all those pro golfers in the studio testing/recording animations- not the best outcome here
Swing tempo is good- I like it- ads much more feel and realism to game
Xbox one controller much more compliant for better outcome  than the xbox 360 controller
Not a fan of those silly societies, but each to their own I suppose - waste of time for me that
Fancy  a grown man wanted to play in a society filled with Egos and younger cafe latter yuppies trend setters  Hmmm at the helm

Tour pro for me is much harder, player mode skill level I can  work with – wont worry about standard skill level-too easy

Club Sounds are hollow and not realistic-Tgc1 sounds were better
Lighting is bright – bunkers too bright- much to do to fix lighting
Pinestraw is terrible – never a fan of their pinestraw

They have added a freehand spline draw tool- best idea they had
but… trying to smooth out the splines is very tedious andf awkward - hope they improve this feature
Doesnt autofill with  texture you want either, have to do that by hand- very tedious
Cant copy and paste freehand spline tool, or copy, expan d and lay down another spline around the other one

textures seems better- but nothing like pg
No custom game setups forthcoming   tgctours mulitplayer  setup games – still limited
Texture transitions still have that edge on them so they dont blend in naturally and ball stops at that texture edge
textures are better but still have that velvet /carpet style look
Water looks ok to a point
Rocks still have a problem
Overhead map of water falls/planes  shows up blocks of water planes and doesnt not look  so good when viewing in overhead map
Xbxox 360 is definitely harder than xbox one controller- you can go into steam setting-Big picture and configure controller auto settings to improve controller playability-?
I do like the tempo based swing though- still results in some unrealistic shots occasionally
Putting is pretty good so far – dont mind it
Scoring is harder and will bring this back more into line with reality
Porting over tgc1 courses still has some bugs, green elevtions  stilll have bugs and not showing accurate slopes
Chip shot now only gives you 12 yard distance shot
Sand shots not giving accurate results as per tgc1 re sand shots
wind allowance is off lightly
career mode is lacking but dont mind the crowds – this add a new experience
Still cant get that individual course look like Pg with custom textures and objects
So still limiting and not open anf free to do what you like like CF/PG
You get what they give you
No Lidar data- as per greed from powers at be- so too bad for designers to create RCR

These are things I have noticed to date
They have lots to do to ammend and appease the followers

Courses seems to look similar texture wise/ more custom textures etc could be introduced like CF/PG
CF/PG courses uch more customizeable to give  a very individual look

Water line transition with the the terrain is much better than CF, it blends in much better the CF
When you raise/lower  water/terrain the edges/transitions look much more natural and blend much better than PG.
and automatcially adds grass, plants etc to give a much more natural look

I do like the green grids and feel better than PG

Love my golf and will play both – glad I have a choice

Cheers

OK lets see it, do 10 perfect/perfect straight shots in succession on a course not in the driving range with tour club set.

That is a really lame comment, unless you cheat no one can do 10 in a row. I am lame just for answering this, can you and Dogz please knock off the I HAVE A BIGGER **** than you. Me of all people I can't believe I am saying this.

I tried tour clubs last night and yes I suck big time but at least I don't go 50 yards left or right like PG. I will stay at Player, I don't need to show how much of a man I am. I'll stay where I am comfortable.

Good summary Ping. I'm really enjoying the swing and the added difficulty. But they've got a ton of things to get fixed outside of that. I'm a little shocked that they released it in this condition to be honest. And I doubt it has to do with a lack of honest beta member feedback... I think they just managed things very unprofessionally. Hopefully they can solve the big issues (servers, lighting, etc) in very short order.

The shine of the new swing will wear off for me soon and then I'll just be left with all the things I do not like about the game.

Here you go, highlight reel playing tour clubs at my course sunningdale, and before you say i'm not playing with tour clubs, just look at the few shots with the 279yd driver, you don't get to use that unless you play tour clubs, i was -7 after 16 holes and got disconnected.  I duffed a few chip shots during the round that cost me shots, its a terrible aspect of the game, i really don't get it.

Wow...

I'd already forgotten from a couple days ago how awful the lighting/textures can be.

It looks ridiculous in so many shots/angles...

What the F did HB do here!??

Also - The PG cup physics are so much more realistic I think.  TGC's cup sucks in way too many things it shouldn't.

BTW:  DoGgz - Awesome job putting your money where your mouth is...

Love it!

As soon as i published this course from TGC 1 my first thoughts were how much better it looked in the old version, is it just the lighting, guess so, but its a hell of a downgrade none the less.

ROFL good try mate BUT we all know what you can do with controllers on the pc, you have said it yourself many times, this proves nothing.

very true, gameplay is good but everything around is very poor, the tour club swing certainly is a challenge but already far too many people using devices to hit straight

What can you do on PC to make your controller hit perfect/perfect tempo?

So you had 10 shots where tempo mattered (non putting strokes) and 60% of those were perfect/perfect.

Take that same swing to a more difficult course and there's no way you shot the same score.

I'm not saying the game is perfect. It's not... by a long shot. But your video doesn't exactly back up your claims that it's too easy. I didn't add them up but I also don't think I saw many shots at all that would be considered dead straight. You were always on the fringes of the shot cone. So your score is more a result of the course and not the fact that the swing is too easy for you.

Just my $0.02. If you don't like the game then I get it. It's not for everyone. But this video didn't really prove anything in my opinion.

He definitely was. I believe him when he says it first of all... but secondly you could tell by the carry distances.

OK... so curiosity got the best of me and I went back to take another look. I mean, the whole claim here is that it's too easy to hit a perfect shot right?

So, again... you took 10 non-putting swings (excellent putting though... you'd kill me on putting alone!).

You had exactly 4 shots out of 10 (that's 40% for the mathematically challenged) that were perfect/perfect and close enough to being straight in the shot cone.

You had 6 out of 10 (60%) that were perfect/perfect on tempo.

You had 5/10 (50%) that were straight within the shot cone (swing path).

You were scoring well that's for sure. But it's not like you were on track to shoot a 59 or something. The scores you were posting are similar to what you post in JNPG right?

But what this video definitively DOES show without a doubt (I mean it's just math) is that the swing is certainly not too easy for you. In face, if this were a graded test you'd would've gotten a F in every category. 40% overall, 60% on tempo, and 50% on swing path.

Mebby you are correct about taking it to a more difficult course and not shooting the same, that's true with all golf games to be fair, sunningdale is quite short, but it's not that easy, try it and see, the greens are testy..what you did not see in that vid was the two or three short chip shots i totally messed up, i just do not get the mechanic of it at all, i suck at it.  I guess i could play with the loft and nail it down but i don't think i will bother if i'm honest, it just feels too clunky.  When i first tried tour clubs i was def hitting more perfect tempos because i was focusing on it, that made me hit wayward shots, so i stopped thinking about the tempo and concentrated on a fluid straight up and down instead.  I will concede that the tempo is prob a good thing because it made me focus on it initially, but that is the wrong thing to do imo, i will gladly take a few less perfects if it means i stay within the cone.
