re:  the lighting / saturation

Is there anything we can do to adust it (e.g., video card settings, third-party utility, etc.)?  I'm guessing not.

I've tried with very little success.  So we are really waiting/hoping/praying that they will fix it as it truly is on their end.

This is so bad it hurts.  (No, not the outfit. It's lovely DoGgz.) The left elbow, the stance!!!

I cannot accept that one of the top two or three golf games in the world and the money spent could allow this to happen. First we had "Stumpy McStump" then this. I was actually considering buying TGC2 but I can't get past this image. I couldn't seriously play a game with an avatar so amateurish in its presentation and performance.

Shamefully bad HB Studios.

Stand back. I'm going over to their forum to have my say. (Should I use a false name like our mate?)

Well gave TGC2 a try. Got to say it is the best golf game I've ever played. Well, the best on my PS4, lol. Seeing as it's the only golf game I've played on my PS4, it's a pretty pointless claim, lol.

Not making any final decisions on it just yet, but the server connection issue is a total ballache.

Graphically the courses look less impressive than TGC at first glance. The textures used on the official TGC2 courses look very Links 2000.

Being a 3C player, the tempo effect of the swing took some getting used to with the controller (still not fully sussed it) but didn't hit any totally disastrous shots. The putting feels a little odd, as it claims distance is all based on back swing length but I can seem to hit 20ft and 30ft putts with what feels like same back swing length. Still need to work on the putting. I guess setting the aim marker distance a la TGC is no longer a part of the putting.

Screen loading times were a drag. Some areas of the society I joined took that long to load  I gave up on them.

Played Rd 1 of society event. Went to view leaderboard but took an age to load d so gave up on it. Went back to start Rd 2 and saw game advising to continue Rd 1. No option to start Rd 2. so hit the continue, game put me back on 3rd green. Round had obviously disconnected from server but let me carry on playing.

Think I might leave it a few days and see if any patches are forthcoming. Game feels like a late stage BETA rather than a completed offering, but that's just my feeling.

Brought some sanity back in to my life and fired up JNPG, lol.

Changed my mind now i think TGC2 is the biggest load of crap i have ever played, if there was just one element of the game that worked as it should may be that would make me happy, but there isn't, online play with friends is so broke it's a joke, the gfx are so bad at times that's a joke too, the lies from the devs is beyond a joke, in the forum they answer questions quick when it suits them but NO answers on the parts of the game that's broke they are just rude.

The more I play TGC2, the more I like the swing. Might not be perfect in terms of outcome (I'll let others argue the point), but it's a real challenge to get in the groove. Lighting has to be fixed ASAP. Otherwise, I'm willing to overlook some of the game's flaws (and it has some) because of the swing. Just my opinion, of course, but seems to me it's a great innovation. Plus, the game has some fun extras like the character creator. The GUI also seems well-thought out. All in all, I can see myself playing the game while waiting for PG2 to be released.

Found out I DO need to have my controller turned on for me to get the save/publish and exit options when I am in the designer part. I played Highlandia Falls Golf Links tonight on PLAYER from the black tees and shot a -1. This course is OUTSTANDING!!

The game looks even more impressive now in 4k than PG does, I did play with the controller though as I doubt I could have shot that good with a mouse since it is so fricken sensitive just like F'in PG, why do you think people play Controller or 3-click? To get past that tempo bullshit. This still has tempo but it is not overly done and when playing controller it makes it easier to play.

I miss the days everyone was FORCED to play mouse then we could have great tournaments instead of pretty much nill unless you play controller or 3 click. I do not like how onlinegolftour is set up that is why I never played. I hate being forced if I play good to go to another level I am not comfortable with.

I am truly inspired now playing on a 43" Vizio 4K monitor on Ultra on great courses. I have played a couple crap ones that seem to start out good but then turn to shit meaning they were rushed regenerate courses. I have one out of the three I did I might redo but I may say screw it and start something else I may never finish..lol - Some of these courses I see though are truly marvels. I do like perfect golf but they can not hang water wise, the water in TGC2 is f'in WOW.. I still like TGC grass shader but I think PG2 will kick there ass when it comes out in that area.

Shit.... I really wished I didn't have this much fun but that is how it works, i'll play the crap out of it and then probably not play so much I don't know. I guess it is all depended if they get this multiplayer working or not and if my friends play it more.

Hank McShank and I played 18 today at Turo Wero (gr8 course by the way), without a hiccup and we had a blast. So I don't think online play with friends is broke by any means.

I have been reading this thread , i got the game and its a good golf arcde game to suit the gamers that want a golf game arcade like.Of the tee it lokks really nice good visuals when your putting its like actua golf old pc game amiga or commodore not sure. The swing tempo is easy to work out as others have said keeping it in the cone is hard unless your cheating straight edge forgiving controler ect but overall i agree with a previous poster it is not a golf sim the shots are unrealstic, i must point out the flop shot in PG needs sorted as so many are using it as their go to shot around the greens. I can see that PG was made by golfers not designers of a naff golf game thats why i will stay with PG although its a slow process at least the game developers have hit a few balls on the range/course

Its posts like this that really get my back up, Just because you cannot keep it in the cone you assume everyone else is cheating, did you watch my highlights reel?  am i cheating somehow? I am 47 years old and have played golf games since the early 90's mostly with a controller, i do not play the tours week in week out, i prefer designing to actually playing these days. I have no interest in ruining a game by constant straight shooting, its boring!  The cone in TGC is actually a good pointer to identifying who is using a zero axis controller, if you play TGC 2 on pc go and pull the leading score from a course called royal ethalwind (something like that) and play turn order against the ghost of a guy called Gemini, compare his cone visual to mine and tell me which one of us is using  a zero axis pad.  The guys at TGCT are gonna have their work cut out banning these people if they play on tour, i pulled up 4 ghost players 3 of them were hitting straight lines every shot, and people scoff at the detection message in PG, on tour its very much needed imo. TGC 2 is riddled with straight shooters.

you should leave names out as Gemini plays here to, i have also spent some time in the past playing with him

on TGC, TW08,and here. i don't believe the guy cheats at all he is just one of these guys with a different understanding

of the game and the computer, and is just that damn good. you do realize there are some out there who are so good at games they would not even have to spend a bunch of time to get bored with golf game like this even under the hardest settings.

Joe, if you don't do anything else with TGC2, puhleeeeeeze will you republish Autumn Ridge G.C. on it?  That was one of my top 10 TGC1  courses, and I'd love to see what you can do with some of TGC 2's new heavy rough textures on that course.   :)

All in all, I can see myself playing the game while waiting for PG2 to be released.

And that's what you do, right?  Find alternatives until there are some updates or a new release of your favorite game.   Right now, as decent as it is, PG is a dead stop with zero hints of updates...  Oh wait, there was a hint that PG2 is coming, but everyone's guess is as good as mine to when that is going to be released.   I suspect not any time soon.

Either way, in a time where we don't have much to choose from, it is great to have an alternative to play.   Either game is not for everyone, but it does seem that many are enjoying TGC2, especially on the console side of things...  As previously mentioned, I will continue to wait it out to purchase.   No need to buy TGC2 for the mere fact that it was just recently released and is a new version of the game.   I will wait until major bugs are fixed, the lighting is corrected and just general items are taken care of.. then make a decision.   I will follow the same procedure for PG2 if and when that is ever released.

I think you are the joke!!

O really i'm a joke? and your a fool, this guy sums up things better then me.

"So I've been reading through the topics and comments on all 3 platforms and General and the overwhelming feeling is that this is a terrible launch to the game. Technical issues, server issues, online issues, multiplayer and single-player career issues. It's basically an unplayable mess of a game. My question is this:

Is this what you intended to make? Is this what you spent the last two years making? Why release a game with so many issues? Exactly what is the mindset of the developer's at this point? I think it's safe to say that this has been one big bungle of a launch and it hasn't even released in Europe yet. What is your plan going forward?

How are you going to make this right with all your supporters and gamers that paid money for your game in good faith?"

Jcat considering how penal the heavy rough is in TGC don't you think designers should be widening the light rough and pushing the deep stuff out further?
