As i said I can't speak for anything other than 3C.

You're point about hitting the sweet spot giving a reward seems to me to tie in with my suggestion that in game if you hit the sweet spot a number of times (a one off wouldn't mean anything) you would get that reward. I hope you do.

As things stand moving up to Pro gives you no reward, rather the opposite as there is less tolerance for not hitting the snap line. Like you I moved up to Pro at PGLS and it took me a while to adjust. Having imopoved, but not mastered the higher level by any means, I'm not seeing any reward for that.

PC specs...

Intel core I7 9700k 3.6 GHZ-Turbo 4.9 GHZ
64 GB Corsair vengeance  LPX DDR4 2400 MHZ
Asus PRIME Z390-P
Nvidea GeForce RTX 2060 6GB
X box 360 wired controller
Windows 10 PRO NA 64 bit

The difficulty levels are there so people can compete with each other even with varying degrees of skill and also challenge themselves by making the game more difficult. Think of it as sort of a skill level when playing against a computer chess opponent - you can change up the difficulty level to make the game more challenging but that doesn't mean you can make the pieces move in ways you couldn't before.

I understand what you are looking for and we may implement things like this in PG2 but they will not be tied into difficulty level.

BLI does not work in F2 on Pro level and higher. Thats done on purpose.

You can't aim in F2 at Pro or Tour Pro but you can use the BLI to see the slopes on the green (which is what I think Kimmer1947 was looking to do).

That is strange because it works for me and always has on pro.

Agree with Charles (and Joe).

Whilst you can read the green in F2 cam mode with the BLI when playing Pro and Tour Pro, you cannot reset your aim in the F2 cam.

I think the levels should be renamed:

Beginner  →  All Aids Enabled

Hacker  →  Most Aids Enabled

Amateur  →  Half of the Aids Enabled

Pro  →  Few Aids Enabled

Tour Pro  →  Almost No Aids Enabled

The reward you get for hitting the snap line in tour pro is a good shot that goes where you told it to based on power and aim.

Maybe using custom for snap cameras on pro is why I can see the bli on F2.  I can post a video if you do not believe me.

@ Golden Bear: I believe you. Its not that one can't see the BLI pole, because one can, but in Pro and higher one can't AIM with the BLI. The aim function is not working. In Amateur and lower you can aim the BLI pole in the F2 screen somewhere on the green and the Ani will adjust itself to that aim. As far as I can see that function does not work in Pro. One can only aim in the playing screen itself and in the little top overhead window (activated with the button on the right side of the playing screen.)

F2 + BLI definitely works in Pro level, but not well.  The BLI during F2 is barely visible to these old eyes, and perhaps a less than stellar monitor.  Therefore, I stand by my earlier post (#162) requesting a supplemental camera showing the pin/green.

PG2 will have an separate grid just for the entire green so that in any close up cam view of the green you will be able to see the green slopes more easily. The green grid has also been significantly improved graphically.

Sounds somewhat like a decent Green Analyzer is coming to PG at last  :)

Thank you. Will look forward to the green grid.

I really hope they include an option to create our own player with custom club distances.  This would really add a lot to the game.

I would love to see a preshot presentation style so that we are looking at the screen from a first person view for as long as possible until we actually start swinging with the ani visible.

The ani blocks out such a large portion of the screen along with all of the UI stuff.

Why not showcase the courses more by starting each tee shot like this?

yvdlrJt.png

Now that's a golf view.  Beautiful and uncluttered, just like stepping up to the tee in real life.   Need to know the yardage?  Look at your scorecard or the top view (hotkeys please.  For everything.  Let us get all of the stuff off of the screen)

With each tee shot the cursor would start  "ball in hand" (just like moving the ball on the tee) waiting for the player to place the ball wherever they chose on the teebox.

Afterwards, hotkey the club selection/bag option to choose your club.

Hotkey the wind if needed.

The ani only appears as the last step before swinging, just like you taking your stance and preparing to swing.

All of the preshot preparation should take place from our POV with as much of the course in view as possible.

Each shot could start like this.  For approaches and putts just have the camera centered about 10 feet behind and 6 feet high with the ball laying where it is normally without the ani there.

Also, hover menus in game can take care of most of what players need to do.

Hover over the ball at any time for information and/or a graphic representation of the lie.

Hover on the hands for club/shot selection while the ani is onscreen

Hover on the head  to bring up the distance and elevation information.

Optional of course.

Like this idea where you come to the hole and choose where to tee it as the first move. Its how golf is played. Present the teebox with pertinent info, tee it up. Interesting idea of mixing kind of a FPV view of hole up until you take the shot.

Would also like better in game stats. Per course, per year, per club, etc. Could display as a career much like on the PGA site.

Other small nice to have would be ball shown in overheard. Sometimes its tough to see ball flight and seeing its path in overheard would be a nice addition. (gimmicky I know).

i was just going to post if any members have or use any golf software program for keeping stats since this game is very disappointing in that aspect???  is there plans on a sequel to this game? or are these just wishes in hopes the developer is listening???  i purlchased this game just a couple of weeks ago after 26 years of being a loyal Links customer and i've been pleasantly surprised by the game play, i knew the graphics were going to be awesome but i'm a little disapointed in the lack of stats and lack of golfer utility options ie clothes, clubs, balls... seems like if they sell these items for $1 each there is a big market they are missing out on  thanks for my rant

I think if you log in to PP's social site there is the option to track stats on the courses you've played.

Additional stats are planned for PG2. The current Avatar was always considered a placeholder until they could afford a true motion captured avatar. So, they didn’t want to sell clothes and such that wouldn’t make it into the new avatar. Then 3D Nvidia’s Turf Effects and Unity 2017 came along and it was decided to begin work on PG2. I don’t currently have information on the thoughts on the current avatar in PG1 as I’m limited in communication for a couple days.

As Acrilix states, PP's Social Site will keep a running total of stats per course etc. OGT keep many stats for their Tour Events and PGLS keep many stats which are also broken down into Levels and Months so you can see how you progress over time.

Hope that helps.
