As Acrilix states, PP's Social Site will keep a running total of stats per course etc. OGT keep many stats for their Tour Events and PGLS keep many stats which are also broken down into Levels and Months so you can see how you progress over time.

Hope that helps.

The only way to play top players is to join tournament and ladder sites.  i.e. OGT and PGLS

we need to find a way to encourage more online play.

not sure what that is, but maybe we can figure it out.

the reason i avoid most multi player rounds is for the sole reason

of gimmies most rounds being posted have them set, and im not here to let the game play for me i

want to putt out,and i want the others im playing to have to putt out.

i would say a big help with this would be, to remove the auto settings when you are

putting a round together and make the gimmies have to be set, as i also don't believe some want these set but miss turning

them off during set up. also something that goes along with MP is voice chat. the steam voice chat is a PITA to use and

not very good sound. i know the tourney sites both have voice chat and that is great for folks using the tourney sites, but what about the folks who are not. i think if PP would put up their own TS server it would generate more online play.

another thing online daily tourneys that can be played as multiplayer rounds, or single player

gimmies are there to help speed up things.

you dont seem to like that(understandably), but its exactly this reason, ppl want very personal prefs to play and have the others play with those prefs too, that is prohibiting more onlinegames.

I agree wim... to watch someone miss a 2 ft putt (including myself), time and time again drives me nuts.  Throw in the poor connection with someone in a MP game and you could be talking about a 3-4 hour round!  Like nails on a chalkboard.. I guess I just don't have the patience or the time for that matter.

As far as voice chat.. I don't even bother with Steam.   I use C3..  crystal clear voice chat and real easy to use.

you guys talk about the time it takes.

kinda funny cause i would really like to see a 30second shot clock along with the 60second

im not here either to grow old while playing a round.

gimmies are only there for the lazy folks who don't want to learn

how to properly putt the ball, and to assist while learning.

i really doubt the time factor was even thought about when the game was in the thinking stage.

then there is this factor with the multi player this is something i run into in MP

people who have been playing this game as long as i have and they are playing using gimmies

and hacker or amateur. to me folks like this are only looking for an ego boost by beating people.

im just not down for that, hell i had a stroke a few months after start up was playing Pro & TP prior.

i had to go all the way back like i had never played this game before and start over again took me a year or so to get my timing back to where i even looked forward to turning on the computer. the putting here is not so hard you can not learn it.

without the crutch of gimmies

So, since the topic is: "What are you looking for in PG2", you want to option of gimmies to be removed.  Am I reading that right?

You can disable gimmes now. :)

IMO, 2ft or less in a video Golf game is a waste of time. Nothing to do with lazy. In a 4 player online match, 2 ft gimmes can save a bit of time.

the option is there.

what im getting at is let that option be something you have to click on instead of

if being on when the set up window pops open. i believe some as i have in the past look right by that

and end up having to go back and start over. and i said in my post I avoid rounds using gimmies.

tTBH this is something that would work so good with social groups, country clubs what ever you want to call them.

groups would be able to form with people with like playing styles.

changing the default gimmie footage to 0 instead of the 2' it is set on now

would do what im speaking of easy let people pick their own footage if they wish to use them.

Zmax as for the time thing shotclock will save you more time then anything else.

30 seconds plenty of time to set and make a shot, you just can't take the time to chat and do stupid crap

if ya got to use the head set the shot replay and you have time if needed to do your thing it stops the game

at that point.

I always hear this excuse of speeding up games for using gimmes and it is an extremely weak argument.  If putting on gimmes is speeding up the game than the player is very slow.  I know it takes me all of 5 seconds to put out.

Problem is there are players that take longer than 5 secs to make a 2 ft putt.

I agree on shot clock. Maybe have options for 30s, 45s, and 60s.

I have said it before and will say it again. The locked rounds are killing the multiplayer.  I know of countless people who have left the game because of the snobs and their locked games.  But no one will listen to logic so the multiplayer lobby will remain a ghost town with tumbleweeds rolling down the streets.  I know I thoroughly enjoy posting a round daily, waiting 30 minutes then leaving the site in utter disgust.

This game averages 50 people in the lobby now.  It used to average 75-100 players.  Lose the locked rounds and the players who are not here for a social experience.

I agree on shot clock. Maybe have options for 30s, 45s, and 60s.

It may sound pompous to some but I find it funny that what I have asked for all along is now being mentioned by others.  It was I who championed for a shot clock in the first place with no one else on board.  The only problem is that PG in their infinite wisdom gave us a placeholder for a shot clock.  One minute?!  If a player is taking even 45 seconds a shot I would not continue the round.  I would politely tell them that I was tired of watching the paint dry on the walls.

Locked rounds exist so that a set group that enjoy golfing together can without having to kick out people that try to join. There was is absolutely nothing wrong with locked rounds.

So Crow, yes Richard is in favor of locked multiplayer rounds in PG2.

I’m just glad to understand that people who are utilizing locked rounds are snobs. What an enlightening view.
