I once bought a peach that was rotten inside. Ugh! I vowed to never again purchase a peach. People said I was misguided, that when it comes to eating fruit, one must learn to accept the good with the bad. Bah! Never! Better to die of scurvy than compromise on principles. How else will nature learn to grow perfect peaches? Though my body weakens daily, my resolve strengthens. Let the battle cry be heard around the world: "Impeach the peach!"

Hehe.  I come from a generation whose principals are being quickly tossed asunder, even from those in it.  If no one takes a stand at being ripped off, then the forces that be have won.  :)

You should leave your principals in the schools and the work places!

If you've played JNPG for more than a few hours, then you got your money's worth. It's also impossible to be ripped off with JNPG2 - as Steam gives money back if you don't like it.

Correct is is impossible to be ripped off by JNPG2.  I shall not be purchasing it.  :)  The only way I will backtrack on this is after a considerable amount of time if no one reports meter problems.  This version one of the game is almost unplayable with the meter continually getting worse.

I know they've said that initially you'll be able to play either game…
But I would expect that 8 to 12 months down the road you're either playing PG2 or not playing at all.

(as in they are done supporting PG1 for online access etc.)

I could be wrong but it just seems like a small organization would at some point consolidate to a single release and only support the newer infrastructure.

Why not make it interesting and say $1000.  :P

While waiting for over 2 years for a working meter I have played less and less.  I have joined racing leagues for my race sims and rarely play this game anymore.  Once my patience wears thin waiting for bug fixes (2 years of patience) It sucks the joy out of the game for me personally.

There is nothing being offered in PG2 that is a selling point to me.  Everything I want is in this game already other than that blasted meter of course.  I care not of career modes, crowds on the course, customizable avatars, mo-cap ani's, 3d grasses, etc.  I already know I will not buy #2 and will hold to my principles as stated earlier and always.  :)

I used to love this game, now meh.  Take care, Mark.

Do that and he’ll have to repurchase all dlc courses again. Cheaper to just swallow pride and buy PG2. It’ll be the best golf game ever so everyone will understand. :)

Well Buck, that did not take long at all.  After removing my block of your posts very recently which was in effect for over a year, I am now blocking you again.  You are simply here for one reason, to troll.

post script...  I have no need to use another account anymore.  TLVX is gone.  Have a nice life.

No offense zmax as you are one of the good ones who frequent this forum, but what does it take to prove that I stand by my convictions?

Three things are ALL required for me to purchase WonkeyMeter#2.

(1) A working meter free of flaws mastered over a decade ago for ALL pc users on ALL other golf games I have played.

(2) A 30 second shot clock

(3) Gimmes eradicated from the game and replaced by requests for a gimme from the other player, players, or team.  (I would always say emphatically no.)

This is not going to happen/transpire so do not hold your breath waiting for me to buy it.  I shall not.

Have a great weekend mate.

Although I haven't posted too much recently I normally check out the forum daily. Whilst I realise that the devs are very busy and I am reluctant to criticise but I think the lack of input from them regarding PG2 is extremely frustrating. How difficult can in be to post regular progress updates or even reply to forum members concerns?
I still enjoy PG and I'm not trying to pressure the devs in any way but to keep the forum active and interested regular updates are a must.
I've noticed that some threads break down into a series of arguments, disagreement and eventually end up being locked. Some of this can be attributed to the fact that there is very little on the forum to talk about.

Rumour has it (I will not divulge my sources) that JNPG is in the process of selling the game rights to Microsoft.  This could be the reason for a complete stoppage in update news from PP.

That would be a real shame but the lack of dev input is quite worrying.
