I agree. I see no reason to buy JNPG2.  Why would I want to buy another game where I cannot control a horribly unstable meter?  Everything I want is already in this game as I have zero interest with tournies or careers.  The only selling point to me would be a fixed meter.

You’ll buy JNPG2......

I was getting frustrated reading all the negative comments about JNPG but I still love the game, can't wait for JNPG 2 but in the meantime I have just purchased the Golf Club2 for the low price of £11.99 (what a bargain) as in JCATS view I am also impressed by the graphics, also all the crowds and sound effects, you don't feel alone on the course anymore and there are lots of people playing the game. This will keep me happy until JNPG 2 arrives.

it was on a weekend special on steam, don't know what the price is now, its worth a look. The swing mechanics are not as good as JNPG but it's fun, I play with controller on PG so its not such a change for me. The plus for me is you never have to play a round alone there is always a ghost player available (sounds creepy LOL)

I bought it to for $16 - I think they said 60% off so that makes original about $35. So far I barely looked at it - can't get too excited for some reason. Maybe it's because I invested a lot of time, notes etc - I don't want to give it up. I also watch a guy playing solo with comments on YouTube and said that's enough after 9 holes - getting bored. I honestly didn't think the graphics was any better PG1. In fact PG has more a 3D look imo. Anyway I might go back to it later and give it a chance - maybe!

Must admit I downloaded the game played a quick round, did not like it and got a refund. but after thinking about how cheap it was I bought it again. This time I delved a bit deeper playing in the European tour with pro clubs. Cannot understand how some players found it so easy I was all over the place finished on 35 over par for 4 rounds. but I still found it enjoyable and the course I was playing looked fantastic, Found some courses were not so well designed but there are lots to try and can be added to your favourites for easy access etc

Just makes a nice change from PG until the arrival of PG2 SOON I hope

I am looking for less chatter of the arcade game known as TGC2 and more of this game. JNPG2 THE actual topic of this thread please.

a great addition on the next one would be on the practice range on all the greens

on both sides, of call it the fairway area. put some cups and flag sticks, heck you don't even need a cup

but a target of some sorts would be great.

hell put a can of beer as a marker, anything but make it fun.

I have a few suggestions, all regarding the new course designer.

1. A cart path function which allows you to easily put them in (without 3rd party programs). It would also allow the game to recognize the lie and apply the rules of golf for a free drop.

2. A drop zone which the game recognizes as the DZ for a given hazard and offers as an option.

3. The ability to select what information is shown on the course when the splines are turned on. Just having all or nothing means you get a very cluttered view of the course, when sometimes all you want is certain info.

4. An easy to use, non-buggy, intuitive, Layers Library, that allows you to change the physics models including the default terrain (and whatever other keen features they can come up with). (...there I've said it again!...name that tune you other old farts out there :P .)

First posting in awhile as it feels to me (as I suspect others feel) that no one responsible is listening. Hoping I'm proved wrong. ;)

I've decided to be realistic with what I'm looking for.

Two click swing.  More animations.  Saved stats.  A point to the solo play mode beyond shooting a good one-time-only score.  More popular courses that they have the data for.  A pitch that can bite.

i'd like to see the implementation of the rts-m swing mapped to the controller so when playing on console you would get the full feel / challenge of the jnpg swing.  ( its an excellent video game translation of a golf swing)!

Oh really?  Not!  I have boycotted EA Sports for life for their money grubbing ways since 2012.

I had purchased both Codemasters F1 2011 and 2012.  They announced that no more patches would be made  (for pc users only) after 2 months into the 2012 game, which was horribly buggy.  I told my mates I would never purchase another Codemasters game for not fixing their products and was told i would return.  I never have yet.

The NHL had its first strike ever in 1992 which was completely uncalled for and a prime example of the players' arrogance!  Many said they would never watch again, they did.  I have not watched a single minute of any hockey game since and NEVER will again.

I mentioned that i will not be purchasing JNPG2 and I will not!!!  Why would I purchase a game where the developers hide behind flawed code for the 3 click meter saying it is on our end instead of fixing it?

You may be a sucker in life and maybe not.  But I surely hold to my convictions.  You would be well served to use that mentality for weak minded people who never take a stand.  I always take a stand for right over wrong.

Playing a ghost player IS playing alone.

I'll be buying JNPG2.  Considering that I've played a little over 1500 hours the last three years for a game that cost me $22 CAD that works out to about 1.5 cents an hour!.  Pretty silly to complain about anything when entertainment is that cheap, plus it is already the best computer golf game I have owned and I go back to the days of Leader Board Golf.

RTS-M is the best control method I have used for any computer golf game and as jeffield says it does a great job of emulating aspects of a real golf swing like tempo, and swing path.  I've been using mouse swings since PGA 2000 and I think PP has nailed it with RTS-M.  If JNPG didn't have RTS-M I wouldn't be playing it so although there may be some tweaks in JNPG2 I hope this control method does not change very much from it's current state.

I'm all-in on JNPG2 for sure.  As long as I'm still alive when it releases I'll buy it.

While pc player base has declined, JNPG Sim player base continues to grow and actually gaining momentum. Full speed ahead. :)

I once bought a peach that was rotten inside. Ugh! I vowed to never again purchase a peach. People said I was misguided, that when it comes to eating fruit, one must learn to accept the good with the bad. Bah! Never! Better to die of scurvy than compromise on principles. How else will nature learn to grow perfect peaches? Though my body weakens daily, my resolve strengthens. Let the battle cry be heard around the world: "Impeach the peach!"
