I'm sorry to be such a pain but I installed the correct version of unity (5.2.3), followed the parts of the tutorial by Mike Jones to the point where he is scrolling thru the project window & there is terrain (trees ground grass etc.) in the distance & he zooms in using human height. My problem is I can't seem to place anything in my main view window & I have no idea where he got that tererain to start with. If I dbl clk on human height I just get a see thru image of the stake with x,y,z, arrows. Please help me figure out how to place something on the mesh in the main window. Thanks to all who have given their time so far to help such noob, which rhymes with boob. You get the idea.

No worries, you're not being a pain. Now after you installed the CF into Unity, did you double click on the "black and white" scene icon in the projects window? Once you do that, you have to mouse around to find the terrain, it won't be right in front of you, it's off to the right.

Do that and report back plz

Stoney..something similar happened to me once.  Make sure the small 2D tab in the far upper left corner of your scene view window is NOT selected.  Hope this helps.  I know how frustrating these problems can be.
