Does anyone now how to find out what's going on with this game? Somewhere you can go to see some news about it. Like maybe in the news section of the forum. That would be nice. Are we close?
News? Updates? When will the game be released?

Starting a second thread with the same question doesn't speed up the progress of the game development.
The game will be released once it's finished.

Yep.. all we know is the Course Forge is in beta testing. The game is not complete, but testing will likely happen in Spring (my guestimate not theirs).

I think we'll see an alpha-beta this year, but I don't expect a 'finished' game this year.

I'm the last to be clambering for a finished game, but that would be very disappointing.

I am trying to get a point across that it would be nice to see a little news about the progress on the game. I wasn't starting a thread with the same question. Thanks Lasse for letting me know that the game will be released when it's finished.

I use to be so positive and supportive. Now it's just a pipe dream. They are acting just like EA now. How sad....

Maybe the focus is on CF right now. I can't wait either but sure hope we'll get a new info soon.

If it continues this way the golf club game from HB studio will outstrip you guys

I don't think so. These are totally different games. TGC will only have analog stick swings, so most PC players, which are used to play with a mouse are out of TGC. So even if TGC will be out tomorrow it will not get alot of mouse players. I wouldn't buy a controller that I won't use for any other game and then decide I can't handle it. So for me as a PC player who wants to use a mouse or at least keyboard TGC is no choice.

TGC might get released first. They seem to be leaning towards the console market (even tho' the BETA is on PC) as they seem to want an analogue controller controlled swing and despite saying they would look at mouse-swing, my feelings are that they will stick with analogue control only, as console players don't use a mouse and they are wanting all platforms using the same control method.
FFS, you can't even use a mouse and keyboard with the course designer on PC, lol.
IMO, Course Forge will always be capable of creating more detailed courses than TGC, irrespective of what updates they provide. They are both in BETA and have had plenty of development time (as it's not as if HBS have only just started work on TGC) and comparing what the testers are creating with CF is way ahead of what is being made in TGC's CC.
Can't comment on a gameplay perspective, as we having nothing so far from PP to compare to TGC's.

Always amazes me how many users feel that if your buying one you won't be buying the other. It really is OK to buy more than one golf game.

So true, I most likely will be buying "The golf club" and "Perfect Golf" both when they come out. Even thought TGC will be released first, I will most likely play the one that gives me the closest simulation the most. Never been a fan of arcade style golf.

Perfect Golf sounds like it will be the most realistic simulation of the two, and also have the most diverse looking, and varied courses. It looks like it could be a long wait though to find out!!

Yeah, but why buy it if it's just going to end up being an expensive drink coaster? Golf Club has two strikes going against in IMO, no turn based online multiplayer and an inferior course architect (in comparison to Perfect Golf). You're not going to see anywhere near the real course accuracy in Golf Club that we've already seen in PG.
Hopefully PG has turn based online multiplayer. That has always been a staple in computer golf ever since the very first PGA Tour Golf game from EA.
