You both were easily hooked, still are.  But there isn't any sport left in it :)

I never disliked you, just your arrogance.  I genuinely would like to punch EA Tim in the face, repeatedly :)

Lol you don't hook me fella, its all fun and games to me, i loved every min of it, you were the one that took offence to a PG thread over at HB, like it was ever that important to begin with..and ur right, its boring now, go in peace ADX  :D

I did not buy the game for Career Mode.

At least TGC2019 has a CM.....and it is a couple of patches from being VERY good.

How is that CM working out here?

Who cares about a career mode?  I sure as hell don't.

Still beating that dead horse eh? Maybe you should make some protest signs and go picket HB HQ so they really know how you feel.

Nothing is dead about it.  As long as TGC v3.0 sucks why should we not say so?  After all, this is a sim forum for JNPG not the inferior product.

You are a fine one to talk, you flooded HB's PG thread with more garbage than anyone.

Better stated

So you’ve played “TGC 3.0” then?

Everybody should really just appreciate the fact that we have more than one option and video golf games are still around as its a tough sell to the youth of today.  Both games have a place and there really should be room for two as one is a sim that requires a great deal of attention at the highest level and not a lot of bells and whistles and the other is more arcade but also quite fun and has a ton of bells and whistles.  The more we all support both games the better chance we all have of seeing better video golf games down the line as with competition comes the desire to one up the competitor and really looking forward to JNPG2 to see what they have come up with.  I have found in the last week that I enjoy playing JNPG more when playing less and get the fix in between with TGC 2019 and so far its been a nice change up.  We need to quit the fighting and just again be thankful we still have options as the people that play video golf is purely a nitch crowd.

Me too actually..

Which...

Well...

That isn't a ringing endorsement for a game or product honestly..

Well said Greens!   I could remember a time when we had what, 4,5,6 golf titles to choose from!   They all didn't come out at the same time, but relatively close in timeframes.   Today, we have just one steady release... TGC.  People can bash it all they want, but its the only "updated" and somewhat complete golf game out on the market today..  take it or leave it.   I am still waiting on buying it as I am not 100% convinced that I may like it... but I suppose not much is happening with JNPG, so I may just outright take a chance on TGC, who knows?

And you are spot on about JNPG... the less I play, the more I enjoy when I do eventually play a round!   Playing every day though, won't happen.

Because you've never played it and all you're doing is being an uninformed homer with no actual experience to back up your "opinion"

And this is the off-topic forum, which means not JNPG, which means anything goes.  There is an equivalent thread at their forum too.

You are quite correct Greens, it is a good thing that we have a choice, and like i said for £25 or so TGC would be a decent buy, but if you charge AAA prices then at least deliver a AAA product, not some DLC type content with the holes that are now appearing.  I rarely play PG these days as i'm a bit too busy, the time i do get is mostly spent sim racing, but i would love a game to come along that delivers a great career mode, TGC has proven to be a failure and PG2 with its sim focus are not even entertaining the idea.  So with that yes, the more golf games that get made, the more chance of getting something i want from them, trouble is that TGC looks to be the only choice, are other devs gonna dip their toes into what is a niche market...doubt it very much.

I may buy TGC 2019 and give it another go when it goes on sale, but only if I hear they've patched the spin situation.

I don't like the gameplay, thought process, shot selection compromises that come with having to "work around" that spin issue.

I hope they patch that, even if it's all they patch.

No need to play TGC 3.0 when they got it wrong twice already.  Some of us simply do not buy every new version of a flawed game.

No worries, when TGC 4.0 comes out I am sure they will get right on it.

That's fine, but don't speak about it as if your opinion is an educated one, it's not.

You're telling someone you don't like chocolate having never tasted chocolate, it carries zero weight.

A person should at least own the game or have tried it at some point before they way in with an uneducated opinion. I tried the game in that stress test, but found the game overpriced in my opinion once released. Other then that I don't deserve an opinion, as I don't own the game.

I've only logged 16 hours on TGC 2019. Flawed swing mechanics is all i can say, other then that a good game. JNPG motion swing had me hooked from the first day, and its also a good game. I had to buy and try and don't mind supporting a company that's trying to bring to market a game I enjoy playing. "Golf"

Currently my game of choice is E6 golf with the Tittle x swing device. Hopefully one of the above companies will offer the Tittle x as a swing device alternative to the mouse. I know one of them is at least looking into the possibility of using it.

I don't think it's always necessary to own a product in order to comment on it. For example I might not like the look of a certain car and reading the reviews of other buyers and testers that I respect and trust I may form an opinion that it sucks. Of course that's no substitute for actually buying said car and realizing I was right after all

You can do it all day, but it's not as valuable as someone with personal, non-biased feedback.  Which rarely happens mind you :)

Bias is innate however, I load up TGC 19 expecting to be disappointed in things like flop shots backing up, the terrible multiplayer interface, and so much more.  So, I often am :)  But, when I fire up a new Arcticfury (he's the "you" of TGC course design) course and let myself forget about those things for 15 mins, it's enjoyable.
