I may be... I just thought it was odd that a title that has probably 35,000 owners would have gotten that much attention in a competing game's forum's Off Topic section... nothing is in that section has more than 75,000 views.  I'd say the majority of the posts weren't fanboys, ripping JNPG, there's some objective and pro JNPG discussion to be found there.

None of these games is a serious sim, those of you who think having a piece of plastic in your hand simulates golf, are fooling yourselves.
 
I have a serious sim in my basement, it involves hitting golf balls with a launch monitor.

Hitting golf balls with a launch monitor is just playing a game too.  One needs to be on a real course with real wind, real balance and footing issues...  Sorry but you as well are just playing a game.

You don't understand what you're talking about.

 

I don't 'play golf" in my basement I work on swing drills and get accurate ball result feedback.  Stance and wind etc don't matter in this exercise.

 

For instance, this winter I'm going to try and soften my draw, and it's a great tool to repeatedly make minor adjustments in grip pressure, path, etc and gives real time feedback from shot to shot.

I bet Pete Dye loves that, comes home to get away from golf and relax only to hear you thrashing away 600 times every day in a futile attempt to achieve...god knows what!

The funny thing is the thing that got me banned wasn't even harsh and I actually told them "if all you want is a pat on the back without any criticism then go ahead and ban me" 

 

So they did

 

You can see it in their social media presence, they only mention reviews that gave them high scores etc.  I understand it, but it's just not the same as when a real producer ran the show.  It's really too bad because it could be amazing if they'd just get someone with some golf knowledge inside the process.

 

My god they still haven't fixed the avatar blocks the view of right to left putts and we're 3 "games" in.

Pete is close to death actually (unfortunately) and I can assure you hears nothing going on in my house.
